Do not stay here!!
Where shall I start.
The smell of dog pervading through the apartment… Housekeeping gave the kitchen a spray, which lasted for 15 minutes. We opened as many windows as we could to freshen the place up, then the kitchen smells of burning fat started to come in as the extractor fan outlet from the hotel kitchen is right below the living room window….. we closed the windows again.
Doorbell type noises all day and in the middle of the night… The Night Manager tried to tell me that the “Doorbell noise” was a faulty Burglar Alarm. There are no detectors or proximity switches at all in the flat, and no control board – so how come it’s a faulty alarm. Beats me.
Comfort and ambiance. The apartment seemed to be decorated by a drunk before he sobered up - lime green walls and pink cupboards was the best colour combo. The sofa-bed was shot, not a seat worth sitting on. The leopard-skin “Throne” was like sitting on a scaffolding board, in fact, the only seat worth siting on was the red one (Out of 6 seats). The lights under the kitchen cupboard were dangling on the wires and at least 6 Lights did not work all through the flat. I reported this twice to Reception and nothing was done. I talked at the receptionists at least 4 times. I say "At" the receptionists, because all they seemed to do was listen to me. The extractor fan in the bathroom doesn’t work. It did get rid of the smell of dog though… Talking to some of the receptionists was like screaming at a statue – a bit pointless. We stayed for 2 days at a cost of £360, should have left after day one and wrote £180 off. Would I stay here again – Hell no.
Overall opinion - pretty shabby and they tried to get over this with a chummy friendliness and homely camaraderie type of "All in this together " attitude. The attitude should be a professional, customer comes first, let's get it right style. They seemed to be trying to sweep it all under the carpet, as if to say "How dare you complain". Please, please, please keep clicking…. This is NOT the place for you!
great and pet friendly
Everything you could need was provided fridge freezer iron and even a washer/dryer, only little thing was no dog bin but otherwise great.
what an amazing room!
We stayed with our two children and everyone loved Apartment 10.
It was very spacious, cleverly decorated, and very comfortable. I wish that we could have stayed longer and we definitely will be booking this room again on our next trip to Scarborough. This apartment is a must see.
One nights stay at number 10 the apartment
Brilliant stay very clean good food and ideal for same sex groups or families, plus 2 minutes walk into town.
Very friendly staff
The accommodation was absolutely marvellous and much more than we expected.
From the moment we arrived the staff were so kind and helpful. The apartment was spacious and so clean and warm and had all the equipment that we required. Would certainly recommend it to others and will stay again.
I think this is the 3rd or 4th review I have written for this accommodation which is I think a recommendation it itself.
I always look forward to staying here when visiting relatives in Scarborough. The place is very much a home from home and in the winter it has a particular coziness about it. The flat has everything you need and the only regret is that we didn't have a longer stay.
Great value for money.
could do with checking kitchen cupboards and drawers..... we're only 2x forks. I'm sure they would have given more if we asked but it was late so we coped. :-)
Stayed at No 10 for a weekend wish it could have been longer.
The apartment was lovely & very spacious. It's a short walk into Scarborough will definitely return the staff were very friendly & helpful would recommend.
