The view from the back of the hotel over the Menai straight to the mountains of Snowdonia is magnificent and stopping here is worth it just for that.
Our room was large and well furnished, unfortunately we looked out over the town. Dinner was reasonable value but for us a little boring. Breakfast as well was ok with a good range but again nothing special. Check in took some time and our bill was incorrect checking out. Other aspects made us feel the staff were not totally committed. car park is good though when they have coaches stopping you may have to pay £3 to park outside.
Everything about this place was brilliant.
It's easy to find on the sea front in Beaumaris. Well kept car park. Wonderful staff. Great breakfast. We booked last minute. 1st night we stayed in room 119. It's on the inside of the hotel so the view would have been a wall but they used lace curtains to disguise that. The room made up for that though. It was on two levels which gave us loads of space. Downstairs was a lounge area with couch, chairs and TV. Plenty of sockets. Tea & coffee makings were on that level. Up on the mezanine floor, plenty of head space on both floors, was a king sized bed (probably two doubles but we didn't feel a join) and a few more sockets. All the usual facilities plus radio alarm clock, iron & ironing board. Self serve breakfast so we could have exactly what we wanted but plenty of staff around if required. Beaumaris is a little village along the Menai Straits. We liked the whole experience so much we tried to book a second night but they were fully booked. We went to the castle just down the main street and checked with the receptionist when we got back. I was greeted with a smile and a thumbs up so waited whilst she dealt with another customer. We got a room on the front this time, due to a cancellation. When we went to the car to go out for the day we discovered she'd already left us a big note saying to call in if we still wanted another night. We didn't get the extra floor this time but the view would be hard to beat and the room was really nice with all the usual facilites. All the staff we spoke to were excellent but a special thanks to Danielle on reception.
Beaumaris is flat and the hotel is disability friendly, apart from our first night room ;) Even if you don't stay there they have a lovely coffee lounge
Welcoming, Value for Money
This is a traditional English Hotel, the furnishings might need a little updating but you'll be certain that it is all clean and with a warm welcome and genuinely friendly staff such things are easily overlooked.
Our room had all the usual facilities incl. wifi, it was one of the smaller rooms at the back but it was still more than adequate and very comfortable. Lovely bar area available for a nightcap and we tried the Bistro for an evg meal - very nice, excellent quality. This hotel was no more expensive than others in the area and it was by far the better option. I'd stay here again and recommend it.
A two night stay in Beaumaris Anglesey.
A spectacular and convenient location overlooking the Menai Straits.
Comfortable suite with sitting area and mezzanine bedroom. When all the refurbishments are complete e.g. bathroom, this will be a great value for money hotel.
Beautiful location and lovely hotel
I stayed one Saturday night, taking my son back to university in Bangor.
Very nice location and hotel - my only quibble was that my room was a bit near the lift shaft so lots of accompanying noise into the night. Stormy night too, so the sash window rattled all night. But good breakfast and pleasant staff.
lovely friendly staff, clean rooms, and fantastic view of the sea.
just what we needed to chill and unwind.
A lovely setting and attractive building with great features
A bit of a let down because the building, view and furnishings were lovely but small things that matter let it down.
We have had far better breakfasts at much less attractive hotels. Also we had a great meal in the bistro but we're let down by staffs lack of attention to detail. Eg. No cutlery, grubby tablecloth etc. It would be so easy to increase the star rating with a little attention to detail and staff training. The whole experience was not value for money.
we stay at this hotel out of choice, it has character and is always warm and welcoming
The staff the room AND A SEA VIEW!.
all good......best breakfast ever!!(apart from the eggs)
you can be picky about the details in the fabric of the room.....but enjoy the ambience and the town..
Staff were very helpful and professional, a beautiful location with fantastic views.
staff are friendly too, a great place to explore or simply sit back and relax taking in the beautiful surroundings both inside and out.
