The Craven Hotel
The room was small but clean.
Unfortunately it was very, very warm. I had to sleep with the window wide open (by my head) and with only my feet under the covers. On a night that was pretty chilly. It was not possible to adjust the heating. I would stay there again if the room wasn't overwhelmingly hot.
Did the job - quiet, good sleep
I arrived quite late, straight to my room and to bed.
The room was small but otherwise it was fine. I left at 6:15, too early for breakfast.
The smallest hotel bathroom in London?
This hotel is perfect if you plan to only sleep.
The room is small, but the bathroom is extremely tight. Set in a side road not far from Lancaster Gate tube station, the location is perfect with shops and restaurants close by. Despite not the friendliest reception staff, the breakfast was lovely.
The Craven Hotel
The room was clean and had a hair dryer, tv and tea/ coffee facilities which were fine.
I paid 64 pounds per night which included breakfast. There was oj, corn flakes and muesli. There was also toast plus bacon, sausage, fried egg and beans. The breakfast room was small but clean and the staff were pleasant. My bedroom was tiny with a single bed but no chair or drawers just a rail and a few shelves and the only lock was the one that opened the door from outside. The decor was mustard yellow and dated in my opinion but the bathroom was modern though petite. My shower didn't drain properly the first day but I reported it and it was fixed the same day. overall acceptable but next time I'd spend more time looking for somewhere a bit nicer in the same price bracket. Area was handy for Paddington station and very close to Hyde park.
Good Location, Good prices, Clean Room
room was very small, just big enough for a double bed.
As for the toilet/ shower room the sink hung over the sink and it was hard to get in the shower cubical because of the sink. Breakfast was only just warm and the beans were cold. Only thing I enjoyed was the fact that the toast wasn't over done.
bathroom small but so was the price
small but great value. may be the smallest bathroom the world has even seem; had to sir side saddle on the toilet which was a new experience but I would stay again.
will stay there again
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The beds were very comfortable and the room was lovely and warm. thing you want from a hotel and very reasonably priced. Will definitely stay there again
One night at the Craven Hotel
It was good value for a London Hotel, especially as it was including breakfast (I only had muesli so can't vouch fro the quality of the cooked breakfast but it looked ok).
I had trouble keeping my sash window open (propped it open with my coat in the end, so it was lucky it didn't rain overnight!) and I found the dusky pinky purply brown walls a bit dreary. But all very clean and all I needed for my one night stay.
