Above and beyond expectations

The accommodation that the guesthouse offers is beautiful, it's farmhouse chic.

Everything from the doctor to the unexpected details such as the torch for late evening walks has been thought of. Our room overlooked the garden and the free ranged happy chickens. Angee the owner was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble for her. Breakfast was fabulous, fresh fruits, yogurt, choice of cereals, full English (with fresh eggs from her chickens), toast and preserves. The guesthouse is a short walk from a lovely local public house and slightly further afield is the town centre, although you'd never know that from the quietness and tranquility that the B & B has. Will definitely come again should we be in the area.

B & B Accommodation with a wonderful surprise and a very warm welcome.

We arrived early evening at the converted farmhouse.

To reach it, it was essential to have downloaded the directions from the internet as a new estate on the other side of the canal has used the same postcode as the cottage and in truth we did at first wonder what we were heading to as we drove along the side of the canal and then down a rough track before reaching our accommodation. We need not have worried because despite the wild looking nature the gardens the warmth of the welcome was wonderful; our bedroom was spotless with a newly fitted en-suite; plenty of tea/coffee/hot chocolate in the room; comfortable bed; and all situated in a rural setting. The time for breakfast was flexible and was plentiful with bottomless coffee and tea pots and nothing too much trouble. Our host Angie was most helpful in advising best routes to follow to reach our required destination each day and to give advice generally about Taunton. Just a big thank you from us both and we will not hesitate to visit again in the future. Richard & Margaret Lockwood

Weekend break

Everything about Aginhills B&B was fantastic.

The owner Was a lovely lady, so friendly and kind. The room we were giving was so lovely and clean and more importantly had a beautiful comfy bed. The breakfast was delicious - especially the farm fresh eggs. The B&B was situated near to a canal which was lovely for early morning walks. If we visit Bridgwater again we will definitely stay here.

Excellent stay, do not be put off by the low price

I booked for a 1 night stay and was impressed with the friendliness of the welcome I received.

Nothing was any trouble and I was allowed to keep my car relaxing at the B and B for the day I booked out whilst I was in Taunton. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a modern bathroom suite including bath and separate shower, had luxuriant towels and shower gel shampoo etc provided. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. The value was excellent. I would recommend this to anyone thinking of staying.

The accomodation was difficult to find.

Directions on the Late Rooms site were not helpful. Satnav by post code took us to the wrong end of an impassable swingbridge.

Response from hotel

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to review your stay at our property and for the encouraging scores for customer service and cleanliness.

We are sorry that you had difficulty finding the property - had we been aware that you were travelling from the Minehead area and not your home address in North Wales we might have been able to alert you to the unscheduled road closure which you encountered on the A3259 to the north of our property. The directions below the map shown on the Late rooms site are correct for those approaching from the M5, Taunton town centre or Bridgwater, lucklily, as soon as you contacted us by telephone we were able to direct you to the property to arrive within a couple of minutes.

Very nice room, comfortable, clean and with tea/coffee making facilities which we always look for.

Nice to be offered milk instead of the usual UHT type. Had a good nights sleep and was able to have breakfast before leaving for work on Sunday.
