Comments
Stayed here a couple of times now.
The owner and all his staff are excellent
And attentive.
The owner prides himself clearly on his food and
Rightly so . The food is excellent .
However I have to be honest and state the major
Issue I have here is that the hotel rooms and bar area
On a cold winters evening were very uncomfortably
Cold To the point of spoiling my stay.
I did arrive a little earlier than the 5 pm check in time
And the owner booked me in and took me to my room.
There was no heating on at all and the room was teeth
Chatteringly cold. The heating was turned on but switched off
An hour later and had hardly time to break the chill.
The room never warmed up and the bar area was also cold
Whilst dining.
The heating in the morning didn't switch on till 6.30
By which time I had to be up and leaving.
Again this was teeth chatteringly unpleasant .
Would without doubt stay here again but would avoid
The winter months.

Good overnight stay at The Olive Mill
The Olive Mill is situated just outside Bridgwater with beautiful views from the guest rooms over the Somerset countryside. The rooms were clean and warm but slightly old-fashioned in decor and beautifully clean. The bathroom was well appointed and modern and very clean. Breakfast was excellent and the owner even ground the coffee beans for the breakfast coffee and gave us each a bottle of water for our journey. Very good value.

Good Choice
Small pub style hotel, had lots of good bits to it, the check in at the bar, was quick and easy, shown to the room was a nice touch, however this was because the enterence to the rooms is from the side of the building.. would be good to go in via the pub to the room, but didnt take away the feel good bit. Food was good and well priced, the breakfast was the only thing i could say was a let down... that was only becuase of NO sausages on the day !!
Would I stay again, YES.

Very good restaurant with some good rooms, and lovely views
Great location. Generous sized, comfortable rooms (mine had a balcony, which was nice!), all with lovely countryside views. Very good value......as long as you remember that this is not primarily a hotel! There is no-one sitting on reception all day waiting to attend to your every whim! But the food in the restaurant is very good, and that includes breakfast, which though limited in choice is expertly cooked. (No enormous plates of black pudding and baked beans, just eggs and bacon, with toast and cereal). I would stay again; I enjoyed it. The restaurant is very popular so you need to book if you want to eat there, particularly at weekends.
