Good place to stay in Central Edinburgh
The townhouse is well located and central, you feel you can get anywhere in the city from here. I stayed in a room for 1 (which was number 1), it was a small room, but more than adequate in terms of space. It wAs warm and clean with a flat screen TV on the wall and a pretty decent shower as well. The staff were very friendly and informal. If you want the formality of a hotel, then this is probably not the venue for you, but if you want things a bit more laid back, then it's ideal. The accommodation is at the top of many stairs, so once again if you don't mind the exercise going up this is fine, if stairs a challenge for you, then consider this.
The breakfast is provided at Rick's hotel which is one street over from the townhouse. This was a an excellent cooked breakfast including some haggis and a potato scone and cooked to perfection and served quickly and very hot. The dining rooms at Rick's are also modern and well appointed. I paid £56 for one night including breakfast, and for me this was a good value deal and the townhouse is somewhere I would stay again, particularly when on a sub £75 budget.

Edinburgh Overnight Trip
Lovely friendly proprietor - couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming - would definately return to the same hotel if ever I visited Edinburgh again. The location was ideal for our needs and very good value for money. The only downside being the accommodation is on the 3rd floor of a beautiful georgian town house but this is pointed out clearly in the description - with no lift it would not be to everyones taste but for a one day/night stay it would not put me off booking again.
