perfect for our needs
Hotel is in a great location - you can't get more central. The room was a little basic and old fashioned but it was everything we needed. The hotel breakfast was a real high point. Great choice and perfectly cooked.

Comfortable accommodation
Very welcoming. Good nights sleep. Excellent breakfast. Room was comfortable and spacious. Lighting was perhaps a little dim. General décor was fine but in need of a bit of TLC.

Review of the Great Malvern Hotel
The hotel is a bit run-down and knocked about and could do with a bit of renovation. The room was ok but the shower was only just adequate. God bar with selection of real ale. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff. Very good central location for visiting Malvern.

Just right.
A comfortable stay in a central location with a great public bar. The bar menu was varied and satisfying, and the breakfast was excellent. A good base for exploring the Malvern Hills. It's an easy stroll from the hotel to the top of the hill for a moderately fit person.

good and bad
Initially, I was disappointed with the hotel, as the social areas were down-at-heel and the person on reception was not helpful. I had requested a parking space near the hotel as I have limited mobility. This was not an option, so I parked in a local car park for £3 per night. The room itself was clean and the bedding lovely ( not the cover). Bathroom OK, but the toilet seat moved about. The bath was enormous and it was fab to have bath salts available. The bathroom floor was dirty. Chambermaids friendly and lots of coffees and biscuits, plus sweets.

Fantastic value Short stay
Excellent staff and service from start to finish. Nothing was too much problem. Location excellent for visiting Malvern and lovely bar area with quality live entertainment.
Room satisfactory and fine for what we wanted. Towels and glasses missing and shower was disappointingly weak and took ages to fill bath but water pressure could be a problem?
Breakfast fantastic, individually served with wide range of choices..
Would certainly recommend and stay again ourselves. Thankyou.
