Carnival Stay
We had a very warm welcome on our arrival and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was quite basic but comfortable. The heating going off while we were out meant that the room was quite cold on our return. Outside temperature was extremely cold and a little warmt in the room would have been welcome. Heating was on in the morning in plenty of time before breakfast.
The parakeet provided some amusement over breakfast.

Lovely, quiet pub and hotel
Stayed here two weeks ago and came back again this week. Michael is your perfect host and if he can help you, in anyway, he will. It is quiet, It is NOT a 5* hotel but it does what it says on the tin.

Would stay again..
Some of the reviews of this pub/hotel are, I feel, to harsh. I recieved a warm, helpful welcome and the host, Michael couldn't do enough to please. I needed wi-fi to work and my original room had a weak signal. I was given free choice to pick a room closer to the server and free of extra cost. Small things mean alot as this enabled me toget a lot of work done. The bar is warm and cosy I found and bar staff very helpful.
I awoke from a goods night sleep and had a refreshing, warm shower with clean, soft towels to dry with.
No, it's not a 5* Premier Inn. It's a 3* pub/hotel. Yes the rooms are a little dated but they are clean, comfy and provide everything you need and didn't deter me from having a relaxing evening and stay.
