Business Traveller
Hotel is located on the opposite side of the motorway to the M4 J24 services (do not use the post code if you have a TomTom). Pleasant staff and the food was good, although menu restricted (NB this is a pub really). Breakfast from 08.00, which is a bit late for many, but they will do a sandwich to take away the night before if asked. Free wifi available in the bar area. The room was small but adequate. However, it was very cold. I was asked by the young lady if the room was cold, to which I replied yes, but did not get any offer of a heater for example. The heating went off at around 11.00pm, and it was not pleasant after that. If you want to stay in a very cold period, take a heater with you, plus thermals. However, I would use the hotel again, but during the warmer parts of the year.

We had a very pleasant overnight stay. A comfortable room but could do with updating. A bigger tv and kettle that wouldn't need constant filling. The cooked breakfast was just what we wanted before setting off on our journey to Cornwall. The proximity of the rail line and motorway is not what we'd want for a longer stay.

NOT AN EXPERIENCE TO REMEMBER
On a cold winter's night do not stay here.
The heating is turned off at 10.30 and we slept in our clothes. The furniture did not fit the room and so you could not open the cupboard doors. No radiator in the pokey toilet and shower, so that was even colder.
Mattress was laying on a board and furniture was obviously from an auction room.
Not unpleasant people but do not understand service required to get people to return.
Worst place we've ever stayed at. Tacky, tired and no staff in the morning.

Carnival Stay
We had a very warm welcome on our arrival and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was quite basic but comfortable. The heating going off while we were out meant that the room was quite cold on our return. Outside temperature was extremely cold and a little warmt in the room would have been welcome. Heating was on in the morning in plenty of time before breakfast.
The parakeet provided some amusement over breakfast.
