Luxury in the Cotswolds
Everything about this hotel was great apart from the lack of parking space
A good 'Olde Worlde' experience
I'll start with a negative which is the current lack of car parking.
Whilst it wasn't a major issue it was an inconvenience. However, that aside we had a lovely one night stay. We had room one which gave us a four poster bed which was rather nice but beware. The bedside cabinet has a glass top and due to the uneven floor it is at a bit of an angle. Do not put your beer on this as it slides off. The hotel is a bit of a mish mash. The bar is a bit soul less as is the dining room but the residents lounge is great, with lovely comfortable sofas and a great ambiance. Our favourite area. We had a bit of an unfortunate experience with our evening meal but this was rectified to our satisfaction by the manager. This was more than compensated but the fabulous breakfast fair. One of the best we have encountered.
Great Location and lovely atmosphere
After a stressful week we had a really relaxed stay at The Bull.
Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the menu fresh and interesting. The breakfast was very good, especially the "homemade" museli - no wonder they have won awards for providing the best breakfast. We had an en-suite double room with all facilities. Wifi was an added bonus. The car park was being refurbished but parking was easily found on the main road nearby.
Travelling for Xmas with family.
Great place to stay will stay again when making the same trip ,enjoyed everything.
Ideal Cotswolds Hotel
The Bull at Burford was the ideal little hotel for an over night stay in the Cotswolds.
It's character and charm summed up the area. The hotel's history shows with beams, creaks, uneven walls, corridors and ceilings but this adds to its appeal. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable with Sky TV and plenty of space. Food was excellent and the staff very helpful and polite!. Both evening meal and breakfast were well worth the money. Would stay here again and recommend!
Friendly welcome dispite the weather
Period property with all the character you would expect.
Well stocked bar and drinks selection. Fantastic breakfast cooked to order.
Traditional friendly family hotel where service is important.
The Bull is a very old and traditional Hotel, with such lovely staff who are friendly and fun who wish to serve and help make your stay the best it can be.
Burford is a typical Cotswold village and the hotel is on the High Street. There are plenty of cafés, tea shops, bars and restaurants on the High Street of good quality to enjoy if you have room after the delicious Hotel breakfast. Our dog was made very welcome too and given little treats which was just as well as she was not having any of my scrummy breakfast sausage. Can't wait to go again!
Really great hotel.
Only stayed one night. Breakfast was wonderful. Full of good food. The room is simple but very clean with toiletries, coffee. Staff very attentive. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Just wished it was a bit cheaper.
Room was ok but noisey TV from next room.
Shower a bit rubbish. Breakfast, however was very tasty. All in all, rather overpriced, but that's the Cotswolds.
