Comfortable and clean.
The staff on reception when we arrived was great.
Very polite, bubbly and helpful.
The hotel itself was lovely, clean and modern, unfortunately I didn't get to use the pool. The room was small but adequate, we had a double and a single bed in the room. The sheets were lovely and soft and the beds very comfortable. The only negative if is a negative are the rooms are very very basic, plain almost clinical.
We arrived back at the hotel at 1 am and asked if we could get food from there or anywhere, the guy at the bar told us the only place open would be dominoes and we could have it delivered there. Again, the staff are very helpful. Peaceful nights sleep and a easy check out process.
Good Location and Good Facilities
The hotel is in a good location and easy to find, plenty of on-site parking.
Had a reasonably sized double room, well furnished and clean. Gym and Leisure Centre are well equipped and worth a visit. Some slight noise from the road outside, if this would bother you then ask for a room away from the road.
Fantastic hotel location wise, with great facilities
Very nice hotel.
My room was clean and well equipped however I did experience some problems with noise - my room was right next to a fire door so was woken up at 1 am, 2 am and 3 am by other guests. I slept very well apart from being woken up by someone vacuuming in the room above me at 8 am on a Sunday morning. The best aspect of this hotel was the pool, sauna and steam room - which I had totally to myself!
Great independent hotel
Beeches Hotel Leisure Club and Spa
Our stopover from London
We booked through late rooms for our trip from London to Nottingham to pick up our daughter from Uni and though we would break our trip with an overnight stay in a hotel.
We booked Beeches Hotel through LateRooms and got a reasonable price so was dreading a lower grade of accommodation but found the opposite. The receptionist was friendly, helpful and even upgraded us to another room after we found we were going to be put in the attic rooms with lower ceilings (my partner is tall). The room was very nice and quiet just what we were hoping for and the facilities good. The only downside was the mattress was too soft so we both woke with backaches and the tap on the bath was positioned on the outside rim of the bathtub and right in the middle making it very dangerous and awkward to climb out of the bath without hurting yourself or falling. You could not open the shower guard also in order to turn on the shower or set water temperature without having to climb in first to turn it on - very awkward. All in all though the hotel was lovely, staff friendly and we had a good nights sleep.
Had a wonderful stay at the Beeches Hotel.
What a lovely place, a great, comfy atmosphere and so very welcoming. The hotel itself is presented beautifully with it's decor and welcoming staff. The room was gorgeous, cannot fault it in any way. We had a very happy and comfy stay. What more can you want, breakfast (which was delicious and catered for a wide variety in a very comfortable space within the attached restaurant) and use of the gym, spa and pool all included in the price. We made full use of it all and enjoyed it thoroughly.
Would not return
When you enter the car park, signage is dotted around and CCTV, this makes you feel as though there has been a lot of break-ins for visitors to the hotel.
We checked in and confirmed we had been allocated a superior room as per our booking; this was most certainly NOT the case when we entered our room. I immediately contacted reception to be moved, this they did with no hesitation, which made me feel as though they knew we'd been downgraded. The room we were then given was OK, but trying to find it in the very uppermost warren of the building, with suitcases was, to say the least, simply horrid. The whole hotel feels grotty and the rating of 2* would be more the case. Breakfast is awful. No fresh fruit. For £75 per night this is far from what I would have expected. We will return to another hotel in Nottingham for our future visits to family.
We were disappointed.
Best thing was the pool / spa / gym.
Pleasant enough room and bar food, nothing outstanding.
Not brilliant value but not ridiculously expensive either. BUT really enjoyed a dip in the pool which was considerably bigger than some of the hotel "bathtubs" that masquerade as swimming pools. Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room too, and gym. So if you have enough time to make full use if these the value for money is much better.
