Clean but early check out
Was clean nice bathroom average bed - tv remote didnt work - main problem 1030 check out that we werent advised about - spoilt whole experience
Don't bother booking if you want sleep
Hotel room ok bit dated Indian restaurant next door superb but had a party night on was told on booking but didn't expect the level of noise after a long hard day went to bed but the disco noise was unreal then a Dolly Parton act came on heard every single song plus smoking area right outside window room 8 even more noise even with windows shut complained to manager but no refund have been to less noisey war zones
Stayed 2 night for a wedding.
The staff were friendly.
The service we received was very very good. The staff went out of their way to help us when we was struggling to find a cab on the Saturday evening. There is a little indian you can eat at if you are staying there. The room was a little dusty which had my partner sneezing. Not much bad i can say about my review. I would recommend to anyone
On arrival the only member of staff was a general helper who had no idea which rooms we had been allocated.
Communal areas very worn and dirty. No bin in bathroom. Party going on downstairs, music deafening until 12.40 then more noise as people left until 1.30. No breakfast apparently they don't do breakfast of any description. Same member of staff only one available to book out, she had no idea how much rooms cost and couldn't work card machine. An awful place. I can't think of one good thing to say about it.
Comfortable stay, ghost town in the morning!
We hadn't checked in as we got diverted on way to wedding reception and didn't want to be late.
. Had a phone call later to say that the key would be left in the bar... But the bar closes at 11pm. Went and checked in as we didn't want to miss out on hotel stay. Hotel owner was very welcoming & took us up to our room. I would recommend this place if breakfast is not required. It would be much more appealing if food was offered. In the morning, we tried to drop our key back to reception... Which was locked, as was the dining room. Another perplexed looking couple from the wedding told us they just left their key in the door as there was no drop box to put them in. All In all, a pleasant stay and good if you like being left to your own devices.
Very Poor indeed!!!
There was no one on reception when I left in the morning.
The room smelt of smoke. There were no fire evacuation procedures in the rooms and the place was locked up tight - I felt very uncomfortable and couldn't wait to leave!
This hotel hs been divided into two parts - half is an Indian Restaurant which is extremely convenient for evening meal and served excellent food.
Two hits in one. No breakfast though.
Upon my arrival at The Surrey Hills Hotel though it was past midnight staff were so welcoming and helpful.
We were oriented to the entire building and told were to get others services should we require the. I would definitely visit the place again.
The rooms were big, the accomodation was a good standard not outstanding but good.
Plenty of storage if you were staying for a longer period (we only stayed a night) the accomodation for the money I didn't think was good value as there was no breakfast (although we did just get our 5 star accomodation the two nights before with breakfast and we have not stayed in hotels down this way before) Overall the hotel served its purpose for us (a stop off for an extra night down south). The Indian downstairs looked good and menu reasonably priced although we had already eaten so didn't use it. The lady cleaning the rooms in the morning was extremely helpful and pleasant. The was no one at check in as we arrived late.
