Like staying with friends

Can not say enough nice things, my stay was perfect.

The room was lovely and clean with nice little homely touches, the breakfast was amazing and the service was outstanding. Really made you feel like a friend rather than a customer absolutely fantastic stay.

Highly Recommended

Located approximately half way between Bowness and Windermere on a very quiet side street, the Invergarry Guest House provides excellent accommodation for the Lake District visitor.

We were greeted on arrival by Steve, who owns the house with his wife, Vicky. Both Steve and Vicky were very friendly and helpful. Homemade cake in our room and homemade jam and marmalade for breakfast, made us feel very much at home. Of course, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, omelettes and the full Cumberland breakfast were also on offer. The house itself was warm and very tastefully decorated, with canvases of Steve's Lakeland photographs on display and available for purchase. We took home a very delightful canvas of Grasmere, displaying a photograph taken by Steve. We could go on and on about how wonderful our experience was. But the important question is: would we stay there again. Absolutely.

Well situated for village and Lake.

Steve was very welcoming and full of knowledge to make our stay pleasant.

Lovely room at the top of the house, breakfast was very well presented.

A very nice guest house with cheerful, friendly owners

We only stayed the one night as this was an en-route stop over on our journey south designed to give us a "morning in the lakes" .

We liked the location as it was just a 10 min walk down to the shops/bars/Resturants and the price represented good value for money. The room was comfy, very clean and being just up a side road, we had a good nights rest, this followed by a delicious breakfast set up for the rest of our journey south.

one night only....

But in that brief time was very impressed with the standards across the board.

Lovely well presented room and immaculate bathroom...cleanest freshest Ive seen in a hotel...and pretty quiet location, just far enough away from centre. Had fab nights sleep, very peaceful, and excellent breakfast with all you needed. Would defo stay again if in that area.

Perfectly adequate

You can walk down hill to the lake or up hill to the shops and train in about 15 minutes easy.

I was able to park my car on the street not too far from the B&B. Hosts are professional with a personal touch. I recommend the whole day freedom pass on the lake - just walk to and from the lake - no parking problems or cost.
