Cosy room with good facilities
The room was cosy, there was a deep bath and separate power shower and good coffee, and toiletries.
I would advise contacting the Inn directly with any special requests as we asked for dinner at 8,this was not pased on by Black Horses'central reservation and the restaurant closed at 7 on Sundays. The kitchen kindly provided us with a very good meal but had we been advised we could have made other arrangements.

Thoroughly Enjoyable!
Stayed for one night in the family room which is a handy arrangement of a twin and interconnecting double with large shower room. The decor is lovely and we appreciated the Cath Kidston bedding. We also enjoyed the hamper continental breakfast option, most of it is already in the room then last thing at night the croissants and fruit are left outside your door so you can have it any time in the morning. Evening meal was excellent. Was initially concerned as the Sunday menu had nothing vegetarian or suitable for kids. This was no problem and we were quickly shown a special veggie menu and also a children's one. Cost of meal for three of us was around £40. It is clearly very popular so book a table if staying at the week-end. Staff very helpful and friendly. Had the special Sunday night rate of £60 for the room (including breakfast) which was wonderful value. Location is quiet but handy for the A1 and nearby places like Northallerton. Plenty of parking. Easy to find. Loved it.!
