Very comfortable hotel for our needs
My husband was having a major operation at Addenbrookes and we needed something close by for the night before and for me to stay. In the end I stayed 7 nights. We parked the car at the front and got a taxi to hospital the rest of the time I walked to and fro. It took about 25 min steady walk. They were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and brilliant scrambled eggs. I stayed in two different rooms and felt comfortable. The owner is working hard to update the rooms. The decode in the reception, dining and sitting areas is very cosy. It was 2 mins from shops, restaurants, cinema and bowling. On the main route for plentiful buses into hospital and centre.
I strongly recommend this guest house.

Basic but you get what you pay for
It is basically a 1930s semi that has been extended over to years into a guest house. It is on a busy main road but noise was not an issue in the room I was in. Staff were friendly. Decor is threadbare and worn plus it was boiling hot over night in the room. However all that aside, it was £60 so I guess I can't be too choosy. I chose this one as i imagined it would be better than a Travelodge but next time I will go elsewhere.

Old fashioned guest house
Nasty decor, very outdated but friendly staff, clean and convenient for city centre.

A good night!
It was very cosy and homely. Room was basic and not modern but clean and comfortable. Lovely living room and really nice breakfast. Very close to cinema/restaurants and train station. Excellent value for money.

one night stay
the staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival, despite my numerous requests! It's a bit of a walk to the town centre but there's a tescos and a sansbury's, some restaurants and a cinema only a couple of hundred yards away and a taxi into town is only 7-8 pounds. the room wasn't massive the bathroom was and it was very well appointed. Would stay again.

Enjoyable stay
The room was really nice and clean but small. The service was really nice. Breakfast was allright but not exceptional, the hotel is a little bit far from the city center (a good 20 minutes walk) for the price.
