Possibly the best retreat at the end of a hard day.
The room was very spacious. The facilities within were excellent and very comfortable. Food was good and the beer topnotch. Will be my first choice when I return to the area in the future.
Lovely friendly hotel
The Coppleridge is a beautiful hotel in a lovely location.
The rooms are very nice, just a little bit tired and they need to check the lightbulbs more regularly. Good price and good service given how busy they were. Would definitely return.
A brilliant stay!
This is the third time we have stayed at the Coppleridge Inn and it consistently provides wonderful food and accommodation.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. The grounds are extensive and ideal for a quiet stroll while the beautiful Dorset countryside on the doorstep is the setting for a series of walks (instructions available at the Inn). The village of Motcombe is within walking distance.
I chose The Coppleridge to overnight on my way home, and arrived after 8pm but got a warm welcome.
Impressively large rooms, more like a cottage, clean but perhaps unused for a while - a little dusty, and I ASSUME that the absence of a curtain in the (ground floor) bathroom (facing the car park!) was an oversight, not hotel policy. Problem solved with a rug from the (enormous) closet.. But the atmosphere was relaxed, the setting lovely, the bed really comfortable, the breakfast options varied and generous - although perhaps the vacuuming could have been left until guests had left the dining room. But, with walks, woods, a tennis court and a traditional inn feel, The Coppleridge made a good end to a very short, very rare get-away. I wished I could stay longer.
A good stop over en route to the South West or a really good weekend break
Not worth the money at £90, generally cheaply equipped.
Somewhat tatty & basic. A glimmer of light over the bathroom mirror.
a brilliant location and quiet with views of fields and cows - let down by internet not working in our room, and shower taps not working properly so my wife slightly scalded
Value for money
Apart from the shower, which lacked pressure, the room was excellent.
The English breakfast was, well, an English breakfast. The breakfast room was, however, rather disappointing and could do with some improvement.
