3Visit England Assessed Guest House Ratings explained
12, Brunswick Terrace , Weymouth, DT4 7RW
A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at our bed & breakfast in Weymouth, which has fantastic views over weymouth beach.
The Sunbay Guest House is a family run bed & breakfast in Weymouth of the highest standard with a choice of 8 superb rooms all with en-suite facilities. The Sunbay bed & breakfast offers excellent accommodation in Weymouth right on the best part of Weymouth beach. Our bed & breakfast has the best holiday address in town, the historic and picturesque Brunswick Terrace which is only 10 metres from the beach at Greenhill. Sunbay Guest House is situated in front of the esplanade so there are no main roads to cross to access Weymouth beach.

Lynda Broadhead & family would like to welcome you to our family run Weymouth Bed & Breakfast. We are now in our 12th year here at Sunbay and have been resident since 1996.

Just along from the Sunbay is the quite superb Hamiltons A La Carte restaurant and daytime coffee terrace and further on at the old Pier Building (Listed) is the excellent Sea Palace restaurant.

The Sunbay will provide a comfortable and stylish base for your stay in Weymouth. Please note we do not serve an evening meal, just a superb breakfast. We do however know where to eat either very close by or a little further along the promenade in town and around the old harbour.

Weymouth is a wonderful town for nightlife, and has a fantastic Georgian seafront where many Weymouth Hotels and shops are situated. Weymouth is also well situated to explore coastal Dorset during the day so please phone or email now with your booking request. Please give phone numbers and best times to call.

The Sunbay Bed & Breakfast has a strict no smoking policy.

One of the few guest houses in Weymouth that is practically on the beach.

Sunbay Guest House & Hotel has double rooms, twin rooms, family rooms, and single rooms to cater for all your requirements in Weymouth.
All our hotel rooms are en-suite with colour televisions and tea & coffee making facilities. You will have an en-suite hotel room right in the middle of where you want to be in Weymouth. The beach literally outside the front door and the town centre and old harbour just a walk away down the lovely promenade. We can cater for families of 2, 3, 4, or 5 persons as our 3rd floor, seaview, en-suite family room (1 double bed and 3 single beds) can cater for 5 persons.

All our hotel rooms have only recently been refurbished and several have sea views. Hurry now and you might be able to book the Four Poster suite with its bay window overlooking the sea.

Whether you are taking the kids away for a fun break or just the two of you for a bit of self indulgence the Sunbay guest house & hotel in Weymouth has space and time for you, but please put a booking request in by email now. All enquiries will be responded by the next day at the latest.

One of the great joys and real treats of a few days away at the seaside is the Traditional English Breakfast served to you by your b&b.
What can compare with the luxury of waking up in your beachside Weymouth B&B, taking a relaxing shower in the en-suite and then deciding what to do over a real English breakfast in the dining room which looks over the Weymouth beach and the sea.

The Sunbay B&B offers traditional english breakfasts as well as offering vegetarian options and lighter breakfasts for everyone to enjoy. Traditional english breakfast consists of Grilled bacon, Sausages, Fresh Tomato's, Baked Beans, Hash Browns, and Eggs (Scrambled, Fried, Boiled, or Poached).

Sounds good doesn't it?

Email now or phone during the day to request a booking. The Sunbay B&B doesn't offer evening meals, just our excellent breakfast in the morning. However we are literally walking distance from a wide variety of superb restaurants, interesting pubs and traditional cafés.

Quiet location
The Sunbay guest house is situated at the end to the main Weymouth seafront in Brunswick Terrace, which is a lovely spot. The guest house owners are very warm and friendly and very welcoming. The breakfasts are excellent and the room we stayed in had a beautifull view over the sea. The only problem is parking, you can only park the car for one hour during the day, but can park from 5pm to 10 am the following morning.

Had a lovely room at top of house with choice of 4 beds (there were only 2 of us!) and windows looking out over the sea, and to the road behind, so we got a nice breeze through. Very clean.
Breakfast: cooked food good. Nice bacon and not greasy. Could have done with another choice of cereal like a decent muesli, or some fruit.
Dining room a bit too snug....needed one less table in there really, but overall great.

Lovely and relaxed
Lovely stay, breakfast was good. The shower was small but powerful. Beaiful location, right on the beach front.

Excellent location, really good value for money.
The Sun Bay Guest house is located right on the beach front, the room we had was facing the sea and the gentle lapping of the waves on the shingle beach was a treat.
The Sun Bay is literally five minutes away from all Weymouth has to offer and there are plenty of things to do for both young and old travellers or holidaymakers alike.
The Sun Bay's prices are very reasonable and considering we stayed in the summer, are to be considered a bargain.
My wife and I would certainly stay again and will be telling our friends about both the Sun Bay Guest house and Weymouth.

Owner of the property says good morning !, and I think that really says it all really. Great ambiance and perfect for a nice stay if your like me and just enjoy using a b&b for eating and sleeping etc! Very clean and tidy and myself and my fiancé had a great time and found the knowledge of the owner very helpful to make the most of Weymouth .

Lovely family weekend right on the sea front
We had a great time at Sunbay - Linda and her staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming of our two small children (5 and 1). They provided a high chair, although not a travel cot, which meant we had to bring our own. The family room is lovely - light and airy and with perfect sea view - you go to sleep and wake to the soft sound of the waves on the shingle. My family friendly rating would have been higher had a travel cot been provided, but this is a minor point. Downsides - which we were aware of on booking, were lots of stairs to the third floor (but upside of that of course was the beautiful view) and parking was a pain, but is bound to be on the sea front on a bank holiday weekend. There could also have been some more child friendly options for breakfast (fruit, yoghurt etc), although cereal, toast, scrambled egg and beans all on offer. All in all though a lovely place to stay - a traditional and very welcoming English B&B, with comfy beds, good shower and spotlessly clean room. The kids had a great time too!
