A November Spree in Torquay

Didn't we have a lovely time on that long weekend in Torquay & the following ditty tells a story of our winter spree. We stayed at the Mulberry Tree G.House in an ideal part of Torquay, owned & run by Brian Jones definitely a 1st class B & B.On our arrival at Scarboro' Rd.

Brian was there to meet us with a welcoming smile in a friendly style the perfect way to greet us.He showed us our room gave advice on the best area & route to find restaurants for an evening meal in places that could suit. Later & sure enough after a stroll by the marina & sea we enjoyed a good meal at a restaurant down on the quay. After a long busy day, satisfied & feeling tired we returned to our digs & very soon retired. It was comfortable so we soon nodded off & had a good nights sleep till waking next day to the sound of seagulls out on the street. At 8.30 we started the day with Brian's Big Breakfast surely the best, not just in Torbay but the whole south west.He gave good advice on places to go & things to do & on our daily return the room's so clean it almost looked brand new. Thank you Brian for making our stay memorable with great affection, highly recommended, great customer care,in fact almost perfection. So anyone reaching their energy gap & feeling they need a break go online & click on LateRooms.com it will definitely not be a mistake.

A Perfect B&B

Felt very welcomed on arrival.

We were informed well about the area we were in. The room was perfect, very cosy. It had a Lovely bed, With the bed side tables and lights, Tea/Coffee making facilities, Wardrobe and booklets for Torquay. En-suite had everything which was needed, including plenty of towels, shower gel and toothbrush holder. In the morning we had a brilliant full english, with tea, juices, toast and cereal, a brilliant start to the morning. Overall, the most pleasent place i have ever visited, not a single fault.

A Wonderful Stay

Mulberry House is a lovely Victorian House in a quiet street in Torquay.

We had a lovely stay here and everything was spot on. Brian could not do enough for us and looked after us really well. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was well kept and very roomy, bed really comfy and had the best nights sleep there. We had plenty of clean towels and tea and coffee. Our stay in Torquay was fantastic and we will definately be going back there in the future, sooner rather than later. Thanks Brian x

A great weekend

We booked a 3Day break at short notice.

The accommodation was better by far than what we expected for the price. The breakfast was well above average and Brian the owner could not have been more helpful.

Mulberry House, Torquay

Outstanding customer service, the owner Brian kept offering to make us tea.

Wonderful breakfast, freshly cooked, extra toast and tea/coffee as well as good choice of cereal, fruit, yogurts. Spacious very clean room but needed a larger cupboard for the kettle and hot drinks tray, comfortable bed. Communal areas were a bit dusty. We had no trouble finding a parking space in the road outside. Very good value for money.
