David and Cheryls stay after British Grand Prix 2016
Very nice evening meal there on a Monday.
Breakfasts were full English and freshly cooked though no real choice. Had a bit of difficulty finding the staff in the morning and we came back at 10:25pm on a Tuesday and the place was closed. Lots of character nice quiet village with lake.
A Friendly Pub
Friendly country location, yet close enough to the M40 to be useful to a business traveller.
Noise from the beer cooler (an air-conditioning unit) can intrude on sleep.
Friendly genuine traditional pub offering great food and drink
The Fox Inn is ideally located for those wishing to explore Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, including such locations as Oxford City, Blenheim Palace, Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, and Bicester Village Retail Outlets.
However, a car is essential.

Lovely overnight stay "food outstanding"
We had the pleasure of staying overnight whilst visiting Oxford/Bicester.
Check in was friendly and fuss free, yes the rooms are a little tired and fairly small (the building is hundreds of years old!) but spotlessly clean and very comfortable, had a lovely nights sleep. We booked for an evening meal and what a delightful evening we had, the pub/restaurant has so much character it's lovely, the staff and other visitors were friendly, helpful and chatty. The food was outstanding, homemade pate, anti pasta, homemade fish and chips, Duck and a delightful trio of desserts. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again

We arrived here after being let down by late rooms double booking elsewhere.
Really glad we did, on arrival the staff were very welcoming and genuine. More so than I have experienced before, when I said we would be too early for breakfast they offered us a lunch outside the door in the morning... When I mentioned I was Vegan the chef went to the shop and handmade us a breakfast each to wake up to. I will be coming back again.
I booked on late rooms when there were two rooms available but the pub cancelled on us the day before and telephoned.
Very nice pub, friendly, good food and lots of character.
Rooms need a bit of TLC but over all a good place to stay. Beware the SatNav use of the postcode takes you to the wrong place by around 300 m.
beautiful village but accommodation was very small .
The pub is very welcoming and we had an evening meal there which was very nice but the sweets were small and expensive. The room was missing some items towels, pillows and were brought to us by the very nice gentleman who seemed to do every job going, bar man, waiter and showing us to our room. The room was very small and in the summer I could imagine is quite noisy from the beer garden below. The breakfast was ok and the chef was friendly.
