Great location and lovely breakfast
We stopped here on the way up to Scotland.
It was near the M6, so ideal for us. The surroundings are lovely and the room was very nice. Breakfast was a highlight!
Excellent Accomodation and perfect location for the lakes and Yorkshire dales, we will decinitely be booking to stay again.
Tastefully decorated, excellent location and welcoming host.
Would hapilly go beck
This is a wonderful place, we stayed in the self-catering apartment, and it was the perfect place to be for us, paul and granville take great care in ensuring you have all you need for your arrival and stay, even the little touches like ensuring you have coffe/yea bags and condiments, as some are quite miserly in this area, but they ensured the whole weekend was perfect for us, and the bed is soooo comfy !.
This is worth every penny you pay to stay and you will not regret it, paul and granville are gracious hosts and take goods pride in their establishment and offer a wonderful hands on service , and will do what it takes for you to be able to enjoy your stay....top marks for this place from us.
Wonderful stay at Millers Beck
After a long day we were greeted at Millers Beck by Paul who was very welcoming.
Our room was lovely with great views. We were offered coffee on our arrival which was very much appreciated and we had this in a cosy lounge area looking out onto the fields. Breakfast the following morning was delicious, fresh fruit, homemade yoghurt, full English breakfast cooked just right. We stayed for two nights and both evenings and mornings were equally as good. We will be returning again next year as this is an annual trip to the Lake District buying sheep.
This is a delightful place.
The welcome, the food and the accommodation is all that is required. Our bedroom had a lovely view across the fields and the background sound of the beck running through the garden was great. We shall certainly visit again and explore the local area on foot, as it is a part of the Lake District we haven't explored.
Too good to share this, but it would be a shame not to...
This is a beautiful building in a beautiful area run by a very friendly and welcoming couple.
It only caters to a very small number of guests, but it doesn't disappoint in any way. On arrival we were made to feel right at home and were provided with fresh tea or coffee with home made biscuits. We were also helped to carry our bags to our room. Our own double en-suite overlooked the old mill race and fields from the top floor, and we slept with both french doors wide open just to listen to the noise of the water rushing down beneath us. Our linen was of the very highest quality, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice, including Paul's homemade jams, marmelades and yoghurt, and locally produced bacon and sausages. As Paul says in his booking confirmation, trust his directions rather than Sat Nav as it might take you down some single track roads as it did with us. We have booked again already, and we know several friends are interested too.
You could not wish for more
Hospitality, views, house martins and a great breakfast plus a great pub within 10mins walk.
Perfect location to visit the Lake District/Yorkshire Dales
We were a party of three and stayed in a family room.
The owners are really friendly and gave us some tips of things to see and how to get to places. The B&B is spot clean and despite being located near a road, it is really quiet. Brilliant views to the farm fields where cows and sheep graze, and the relaxing sound of water flowing just beneath the window. Couldn't have been better, we loved it!
