Crown Hotel
Very enjoyable stay, great price, great room very friendly and helpful staff. Can only complain about 1 little thing in which the rooms were very hot even without the heating off. This would not put me off staying again and i would highly recommend staying here.

A bit tired
We stayed in room 30 after a wedding. Good points: fairly quiet location at night, lovely soft towels, all the extras included (bottled water, soaps, shampoo, shower gel etc), breakfast was amazing with good continental selection with honey from a comb, and lovely full a English. Staff were very helpful. Bad points: mattress was old and worn and had some sort of plastic sheeting under the bed sheet ( I don't want to explore why this is..) making it very hot at night, room decor was tired, random bit of wood on top of wardrobe, shower has a good flow rate but needs de scaling. Everything needs painting. Perfectly adequate hotel for a bed for the night, but not somewhere I would take the Wife to impress her.

O'night at the Crown
Very pleasant stay- extremely helpful staff and charming - in the nicest possible way -
Interesting and comfortable room. Very good breakfast also
Only quibble - the room needs some information about working television and radio
This was a frustrating experience as markings on the TV itself were almost invisible
And not helpful
However, apart from this, we had a delightful stay.

Frozen Fries - undercooked!
Dinner was a big disappointment in relation to the rest of my short stay.
On an item with a menu price of £19.75, it was simply not good enough to be served frozen fries!
That they were very undercooked was a disgrace.

Good Value
Good room, staff and parking, as the hotel is just off the town centre. The food was very ordinary, however, it was a Sunday evening. Breakfast was much better.
