A warm welcome - clean & friendly.
Just be prepared for a steep stairwell to the second floor bedrooms. Especially if you have cases / bags.
Theatre Break with friends
Large clean room with very comfortable twin beds a good shower & generous tea & coffee making facilities.
Access steps quite steep and we had the hum of a fan all night but this room was excellent value for money and we did have a comfortable nights sleep. The Toby carvery was excellent value for money and the included continental breakfast was generous. We would stay here again.
Decent Location Due to being a Toby Carvery
Booked this hotel due to location being near to where we were going the following day ...
couldn't fault the staff who were very helpful when needed.
Would possibly book again of needed to be in the area but would request not to be on the top floor ... the stairs were very narrow and steep ... room was tiny. Other than that no issues
Needs investment as looks very tired but isn't as bad as some other Stockport hotels
I have tried several of the local hotels and this is much like the others, very old-fashioned looking with tired decor and strange smells.
The bedroom was ok, and a good size at least but they could make it a lot better. Continental breakfast was average. Chancellors offers much better value and looks cleaner.
Room was quite cold and needed to plug in an electric radiator to be anything like warm.
We stayed here for one night while visiting friends locally and can recommend this hotel.
Staff were very friendly, the room was spotless, everything you need for a night or 2 away from home.
Innkeeper's Lodge Stockport, Heaton Chapel
Bathroom poor needed some TLC. Drains smelt.
Mark P has copleted the review but Wendy P paid the bill so it's in her name.
This appeared to be a local for some people. The staff made us feel as though we were locals. They were friendly, helpful and professional. Service was brilliant, breakfast really good. Wife thought the bed was great but I thought it was too hard!
Although disabled I was left to stand whilst booking was confirmed, sorted and I was told how the hotel system worked.
As standing is difficult for me,I dragged the nearest stool which was very heavy and no help was offered. The en suite room was designed for disabled people but the shower room floor became very wet and slippery and I had to use the spare clean towels to mop up to ensure In didn't slip. There was very little soap in the dispenser and the seals around the shower were black. The bed offered little in the way of comfort, being very hard. The room was hot with no means of controlling the temperature and the outside lighting shone directly into the room. Breakfast the following morning was poor, the food tasted as though it had been cooked many hours earlier and was barely warm. Very disappointing.
The room was fantastic.
Very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone.
