Very near to Plymouth Station
It took under two minutes to walk from Plymouth Station to the Sydney Guest House, it was very easy to find, and once inside, I'd been able to deposit my baggage in the room, and settle down for the evening. The room being a single wasn't huge, but had everything I could have needed in it, again its not ensuite, but there are two showers and a toilet, ample facilities for me. I rarely stay in towns, and usually cycle to any accommodation I'm staying in, so on this occasion arriving by train, it was good to find somewhere quite so convenient for a reasonable price. Only a continental breakfast is on offer, but this is clearly advertised when the room was booked.

Can't comment on the food as I was up to early for the complimentary breakfast. My stay for was one night and would fully recommend staying here. Good location and you 100% get your value for money.

Not a comfortable stay
Lumpy mattress on wooden platform and windows that did not close completely made for an uncomfortable and noisy stay. Lobby, hallway and room smelled old and musty.

Friendly couple, comfy bed.
I arrived late at night, was met by a friendly husband and wife team who showed me to my room and told me everything I needed to know. Comfy bed and a cheerful welcome at breakfast in the morning. Very close to city centre and university, great for the price.
