90% would recommend it to a friend
My boyfriend &I had booked for 2nights but stayed another as everything was so good.
Hotel very clean & comfortable. The staff were superb. Food in Blakes restaurant excellent. Cosy atmosphere in bar area with lovely fire. Bedroom spacious with walkin wardrobe!. Very impressive. We have booked again for November. Can't fault it. Highly recommended.
Room was abit dated, ceiling needed painting, bathroom was nice, but our room had a fire exit to the corridor in the bathroom.
really strange , from the corridor you could hear everything going on in the bathroom and vice versa. We stayed Thursday and Friday , the Friday morning the cleaners thought it would be a good idea to start vacuuming at 8.03am for 15 mins with an antique Hoover which sounded like a 747 jumbo taking off . Service was great staff were nice, very friendly and helpful. Food we sampled was only breakfast which was very nice and a good selection of hot and cold foods. Resturant and bar was nicely decorated , but was abit boring no music, tv or entertainment. Overall it is a nice hotel, with many facilities and a good location
Very good hotel
We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and never been disappointed.
The staff are fantastic nothing is too much trouble, only complaint this time our room was very small.
Staff were so friendly, room was clean, spacious and decorated tastefully.
I casually mentioned on booking that it was an anniversary and we had a card and drinks vouchers waiting for us. A lovely touch. Highly recommend the spa as well, lovely massage and great facilities.
Nice hotel within easy walking distance to the Bournemouth International Centre, where we had booked to see a concert.
Hotel Reception staff were very polite, efficient and helpful.
My only complaints were that my wife and I paid £121 for a one nights stay in a double room and this didn't include breakfast and in the hotel bar I paid nearly £12 for a glass of wine and a small bottle of Peroni, so I now know why the bar was virtually empty in the evening.
Connaught Lodge, Bournemouth
An excellent hotel which significantly exceded our expectations.
Conveniently located, just a short walk to the town centre. Stayed in the Lodge which is adjacent to the main building. Room very modern, comfortable and clean. Excellent leisure facilities in main building.
Breakfast good quality and plentiful. Ate in the Brasserie one evening rather than the main restaurant - somewhat limited menu but quality good.
Would recommend and stay again
mid week short break
The staff were all very polite and willing to help.
Our room was clean and tidy although the bath room was a bit small. Overall we were pleased with our stay.
The Connaught Lodge
Friendly staff on Reception and in the dining room.
The decoration in the room was looking a bit tired. Overall a very pleasant stay.
a break away
we set out for a few days away but ended up with a real treat
I booked 2 nights in The Lodge, I only stayed 1
The room was unbearably hot on arrival, It felt like somebody had left a heater on however the heater was cold (I think it was room 209).
I opened the windows and closed the curtains to try to cool it down and went to the spa and coast. On return the room was still really hot,
On investigation one of the wall was really hot, it was an outside wall but after leaning out the window I could not establish why it would be so hot to touch. I checked out early explaining to the receptionist the room was too hot and my concerns about the wall. She said she could not refund me for the night I was not staying because I had paid in advance, no offer to solve or investigate
On return made a complaint in writing, responded to a phone call giving details and exchanged e mails but still not resolved, Very dissapointed my break away was not comfortable and the complaint could not be dealt with on the day and still not resolved. Would not stay there again.
