So friendly and accommodation comfortable
We enjoyed our stay at The Dagon, the rooms very adequate and will be getting an update soon.
The breakfast was delicious and very filling. Our hosts, Peter and Lee, were very friendly and helpful.
Arrived late afternoon and shown to room which was already occupied.
Returned to be given another room but reject to the fact it was below expectation. The room had not been serviced with an unmade bed having what looked like soiled sheets crumpled together under the bed cover, little bin had not been emptied and ensuite was super compact with wash basin in room not the ensuite...unacceptable. Shown another room but declined as The whole place disappointed us and is in need a good clean and upgrade to make it live up to the presented on the website. We left after getting a refund and would not recommend this place to anyone.
Dragon Restaurant and BnB
Fantastic family with a warm and friendly outlook, Food very good.
A taste of the Orient in North Wales.
The Dragon Restaurant and B & B is an ideal place to stay when visiting the beautiful village of Betws Y Coed and discovering Snowdonia and the surrounding area.
Peter, the owner is a great host and chef, his breakfasts are incredible and the stories he tells are wonderful. The Restaurant has all the original bricks, beams and old fire places with horse brasses, but has a touch of the Orient running through with Chinese lanterns and ornaments. Great experience altogether.
Glad We Stayed Here
We love Chinese food so when we had the opportunity to stay in a hotel with a Chinese restaurant we jumped at the chance.
We were not to be disappointed. Situated just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Betws-y-Coed it was easy to find and had ample parking directly outside the rooms. I will very often find something to complain about with hotels, but here I was struggling. The welcome we received was courteous, very friendly and helpful, as were all the staff all the time. The room overlooked the river Conwy and was clean, tidy, comfortable and functional. The food in the restaurant was second to none at breakfast and dinner with exceptional service. We spent hours talking to Peter the owner whose stories about his family and his early life in China were fascinating. We would recommend this hotel and restaurant without hesitation and we look forward to returning in the future. Our thanks and compliments to Peter, his family and the rest of the staff.
Dragon Restaurant and BnB
The rooms was OK, but was a strong smell of damp from both the bed linen and the towels.
We had a twin room, and when moved the beds together, it was evident that skirting boards and under the beds were not cleaned very often - Ended up pushing the beds apart again. Breakfast was a little limited I thought for the price of B&B
The food in the restaurant in the evening was excellent - Very good quality - definitely recommend eating there at least once if your staying in Betws Y Coed overnight.
Dragon Restaurant and BnB

Don't even think about staying here !!!??
Stayed here one night then cleared off to find somewhere decent to stay .
Place requires total refurb.
Short Break Stay
Great value for money accommodation.
Owner and family and staff are very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast served and the evening meal in the Chinese Restaurant was superb. Great location to use as a base for touring the area and less than 5 minutes from the centre of Betws y Coed.
Cheap but dirty and miserable
Never have i stayed in such a miserable B & B.
The whole set up and layout of the room was totally disorganised. It had dirty and spiders webs everywhere, even in the shower cubicle. Broken toilet seat, dirt on the walls, crumbs, hairs and dirt inside the drawers. The towels stank of dampness so even basic hand washing was a trauma never mind showering with the spiders webs and muck in the plug hole. My room was next door to the room the generator was stored in and it would constantly go off throughout the evening. The room itself was dark and dindgy. The breakfast was served in the chinese restaurant which was edible and the staff were very pleasant but the surroundings were dirty, dark and smelt extremely damp. I quickly ate and ran. Holidays are supposed to be relaxing but this accommodation was quite stressful. I simply used it as a place to sleep and stayed out from morning to night. I certainly wouldn't have lounged around in it. The smoke alarm kept going off (probably set off by the spiders) and setting my nerves on edge. It was set off at 4.30 one morning and woke everyone up. Nobody knew what to do so everyone was expected to just return to bed all bewildered. When i questioned the owner the next morning he blamed a random room for smoking. I was really cross but there was no apology and these smoke alarms were then switched off and left off. If there was such a dramatic need for these smoke alarms why was it suddenly okay to leave the whole system switched off. I stayed 3 nights only because I had 3 days activities planned. My room was only "cleaned" once which normally wouldn't bother me but this just seemed to add insult to injury. I have stayed in many B & B's, hotels, rented cottages, flats and I camped for most of my life and i have never known dirt or misery like this place. I could continue with every detail about the place as nothing was pleasant. Very dirty, very run down, very smelly.
