In need to refurb
Hotel was clean, however walls were paper thin and rooms appear dated.
Quiet, friendly hotel - well worth a stay.
The staff at the Millhouse were very friendly and obliging.
Nothing was too much trouble. It was service with politeness and a smile. The rooms were nicely decorated, with a beautiful view of the old mill pond and the Great River Ouse beyond. The free, full English breakfast was freshly cooked to order and there was also a choice of cereals, yoghurts, juices etc. The hotel bar/lounge was a comfy place to sit. All in all, a great overnight experience.
Nice hotel, friendly staff, would stay there again, recommended !
Good Service - Dreadful Food & Facilities!
The bedroom was badly decorated.
Paint was flaking off the ceiling in the shower and the bathroom was in a filthy state with cobwebs, along with several spiders, all in the shower and bathroom. The service from the young team was friendly and pleasant but the standards of the facilities let them down dramatically. The food (rump steak ordered medium rare with no tomato) arrived 40 minutes after it was ordered and whilst it was medium rare it was the toughest steak i have ever had the misfortune to eat. I had to give up halfway through due to fatigue and jaw ache. The food was so bad that even with breakfast paid for I decided to let it pass. I would have complained on checking out but was never asked about my stay and to be perfectly honest I was in a hurry and couldn't be bothered with the hassle of complaining. Not a place I would ever recommend.
