ALAMEDA PRINCIPAL 9, MALAGA, 29001
Situated in the heart of the historical city centre and near the emblematic Larios Street, this city hotel is just a few metres away from all the important sights of the city. Guests of Malaga will be within walking distance of the famous renaissance cathedral, the port with its breath-taking promenade and the Picasso Museum. La Malagueta, the bullfighting venue, is just 900 metres away and the main bus and train station are approximately 1.5km away. Dating back to 1840 this city hotel has been able to perfectly combine historical charm, avant garde decoration and modern features. All of the beautifully-appointed air-conditioned rooms come with comfortable beds and a fridge for the so needed chilled drinks. WiFi access is available throughout the venue and guests can spend the hot summer afternoons at the lovely onsite café browsing the internet and sipping a cold cocktail.

ideal location at great value
Hotel situated on Alameda Principal a stones throw from all the bus stops (excellent public transport system 1 euro 30 per bus journey!) and mid way between the old town and the sea. Staff went out of their way to help and spoke excellent English

Good hotel, with pleasant staff. It did seem to lack atmosphere, as the reception area was just a desk, but with no communal space. It was so handy for the centre, however, and for the bus to the airport (which was why we chose it). Our one disappointment was that our email confirmation told us that we had paid for 'cooked breakfast', by which they meant a toasted bocadillo. We were expecting something quite different.

Very central location. The only 'downside' was confusion at breakfast in the cafeteria. One poor lady was working on her own (unable to speak English), taking orders, preparing the food, serving and clearing tables. This caused a long wait for everyone. We were given ONE cup of coffee, a glass of orange juice, a yogurt, bread butter & jam, guests enquired if they could have ham and cheese but the waitress did not understand and indicated all that was given was all that was allowed! A buffet style breakfast would seem to be a much better idea!

Great location
The hotel was clean and comfortable and ideally located for the old town and harbour. The staff were very helpful. There was free wifi and my only criticism was that the bathroom fittings were dated.
