3Self Classified Small Hotel Ratings explained
NESS DRIVE , TEIGNMOUTH, TQ14 0HP
Welcome to The Ness, an elegant Georgian Hotel located on the beautiful south Devon Coastline.

Situated overlooking the mouth of the Teign Estuary, we are just 50 yards from a wildlife zoo with some fascinating unusual animals and an approach golf course. Only 20 yards away we have the Smugglers Tunnel that takes you down to the secluded Ness Beach, sheltered by the Ness Cliff. The Ness provides a cosy atmosphere, a warm welcome, value for money and delicious food and drink. You are able to relax and enjoy your dinner whilst overlooking the panoramic views of the coastline. But its not only these things that make the Ness a great pub. It is something to do with the pub's warmth and authenticity, the friendliness of our team and being able find your own nook or cranny to settle into.

Very nice inn.
Bed had plastic matrress covers on which reminds us of old fashioned type guest house not a hotel ( not suitable for people with skin complaints).

the ness
we have stayed at the ness about 15 times over the last 20 years its in a great location, we did prefer it before the new owners took over as its lost its charm now, the rooms are still great & the staff but the main building is more holiday park now, its not a place we would have a nite out like we did in the past, saying that we will be going back because its in a great location & there's plenty of other things to do & places to go

Nice accomodation
Accommodation very nice but the mattress was uncomfortable for both of us. Apart from that it’s an excellent place to stay and the breakfast and views were lovely. Parking can be a little tricky but we managed to find a free space outside and on the accommodations car park later that night.

Stayed a few time now in different rooms and most are looking tired and in need of TLC.

Stopover in Devon on way to Cornwall
We had a room in the annexe with a large private terrace with access from French Doors from our room . The room as larger than expected with a small kitchen with Fridge and tea, coffee and all the usual complementary additions including bottled water, Large breakfast menu and the meal we had in the conservetory overlooking the harbour was first class. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Will definately stay again if in the area. Really good value.
