Very noisy, very cold room. The quality of the bed and the breakfast was very good, but had only five hours sleep because of the noisy street in front of the building. So bring Oropax with you.
A nice place to stay, but would recommend a room in the back of the building.

A nice place to stay
The George Hotel is a nice place to stay. I have stayed at this hotel twice and apart from the rooms being a little bit tired I love staying here. The staff are the nicest that I think I have ever met in a hotel in England. The food (albeit typical bar food) is very good along with the beer. It has a very busy bar area and it is always busy at meal times which goes to show how good the food is. When I go to Frome again I will definatley stay here.

Central Frome
This was a quirky hotel but, the facilities were excellent. We thought a room at the back of the hotel would be the best as, those at the front can be a bit noisy from passing traffic. Having said that, the accommodation was spotless and roomy and the food in the hotel was very reasonable and of good quality. On a value for money basis, this is an excellent hotel.

Frome Hotel
The Hotel is well located. However it is need of urgent refurbishment the carpets and paint are well by a sell by date, I should guess early 1980's or 1970's since it was last decorated, the light switch for the bedroom lighting was stuck behind the bed head, had to push the bed to turn light on or off. As the Hotel is owned by a national brand name and not an independent they must have a bit of cash to invest. Overall the staff very friendly and was made welcome. Would like to return but they need to send in the painters and carpet layers !

I arrived at the hotel at 5.30 and the reception was already closed but there was a tiny sign on the wall which directed you to the bar to check in - the staff there were helpful and polite. The single rooms were very small and really needed redecorating. The beds were comfy and the rooms were generally clean. In one room the bathroom taps did not turn off properly so there was the sound of dripping water all night. There were many areas that need updating however the room rates were very reasonable.
