Me, my wife and 2 young children stayed here for 1 night.
The room was clean. The shower was hot and powerful which we loved. The only draw back to this hotel was the sofa bed was the most uncomfortable bee I've ever slept on. I may as well just slept on a pile of rocks. It www that bad. Other than that we would stay again but next time I'll ask for extra duvet covers to use as a mattress topper for the sofa bed
An ideal venue if you are visiting the National Memorial Arboretum.
I have only good memories of my stay, although the geese fighting on the lake at night and the early emptying bins did break my sleep!
Good all rounder hotel
Lovely modern hotel and very clean.
My only concern was the mattress on the sofa bed was extremely thin and for a good quality hotel this let it down
Holiday Inn Express TAMWORTH
Staff very polite and helpful but wifi not working.
In our room plus it needed to be a bit bigger.
i was very happy with this hotel.
close to all attractions that i had booked for myself and two young grandchildren. reception staff were very helpfull. would give this hotel 10 out of 10
The sofa bed Mattress was way to thin, the bed frame and springs was easily felt through the mattress, and made for an uncomfortable 2x night sleep!
Reasonably comfortable for a budget hotel.
Pillows need replacing!
Efficient staff nice welcome
Holiday Inn Express Tamworth
We have used Holiday Inn Express hotels in various towns.
We usually stay for just one night, en route to a location distant from our Northumberland home. They are an excellent example of keeping things simple and doing simple things well. The staff are pleasant, helpful and seem to be confident in what they are doing. The hotel at Tamworth is up to our expectations. We decided to have a takeaway. Reception had menus and were happy to ring us when it arrived.
The staff are always busy, but go about there tasks with a calm that adds to the relaxing atmosphere.
Stay for family of 4
We requested a family room and got a room with a sofabed but it did what we needed.
We requested a cot for our 7 month old and one was kindly supplied with a sheet. Son didn't sleep too well on sofabed as the head end seemed to slope downwards. Room was generally quiet although had a few lads staying in neighbouring rooms so was noisy around 10pm but that can't really be helped. Breakfast was rather basic, hot food consisted of sausages (just about cooked), scrambled egg and tomato - that was it. Tinned fruit, cereal and some small pastries were also available so glad it was included in the room price otherwise would have been disappointed. The rooms Include wifi for free too.
