Lovely hotel in beautiful settings. Stayed in what seemed to be converted stables. A comprehensive reasonably priced bar menu was available and portions were generous. Staff seemed smart and friendly but no one was on reception on arrival. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Only complaint-one bed was right next to a radiator which we couldn't turn off, far too hot to sleep.

Highly recommendable
Friendly service, good food, big family room enough for 5.
A single issue with the matresses as some of them were worn and unconfortable.
The double bed was smal, so our children used it and we move to the single bunk beds...
Clean and quiet, in a very nice area.

Got off to a great start when on arrival was given a free upgrade to a superior room. The room was a good size nicely furnished with a large bathroom and fantastic views from the balcony terrace. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The view from the bar area of the hotel is worth staying for alone!! This hotel is in a great spot with cockermouth only a five minute drive and all the lakes within easy driving distance. Excellent hotel would definitely stay again
