Probably the best small hotel I have ever stayed at!
This hotel was in a lovely village, it had a warm, homely feel enhanced by the pleasant, happy and attentive, but not intrusive staff. They obviously worked well as a team and had been hand picked. They were very professional. Nothing , absolutely nothing was too much trouble. One of the party was Gluten Free and I had asked for a cream tea and even though we turned up rather late at 5.30ish the scones were served beautifully warm. My daughter who had to go to work in Bristol the next day was treated to breakfast in bed the next morning and the rest of us had a splendid cooked breakfast. Nothing was hurried and the food was divine. We as Red Rooster Discos were also there to check out the venue as a wedding venue and it was perfect. I believe if you had a wedding or any function there you would be treated like royalty. There were so many recent Thank you cards on the guest reception. All the rooms were beautifully and tastefully furnished and it was home from home for me. Definately be back.

Good hotel
I've stayed here before and it is always a pleasant experience. The quality of customer service is excellent, the rooms are comfortable and the food is lovely. My only complaint for my stay is that during this heatwave, it would have been nice to have a fan or some kind of air con unit in the room, as it was uncomfortably warm during the night.

Ok
Small room and a lot of traffic noise. Enjoyed the food. Ok for a couple of nights.

This was a really friendly hotel with obvious commitment to customer service. The rooms were a bit old fashioned for my liking but may suit others (not old, just old fashioned). I expected a double bed as it seems to be the norm nowadays but got a single which was a bit unusual even though I booked a single occupancy room.
I only ate breakfast but have to say it was probably the best quality cooked breakfast I have had in many hotel stays.
