Innkeeper's Lodge, Woking
My husband and I booked an overnight stay at the Innkeeper's Lodge, Woking - we were pleasantly surprised.
The accommodation was clean and our room was spacious; also there was free parking which was a huge asset. I had a bit of trouble with the internet connection but Phil and Kate were very helpful and sorted it out for me. Good breakfast included in the price next morning. We would definitely stay there again.
2nd time staying here and will definitely stay again as the hotel is very convenient to Woking Barracks.
Members of staff were friendly and very helpful and the hotel was close to the town.
Our room was warm, the beds comfortable but the decor dowdy. The bathroom was equipped for disabled guests so it felt like a hospital bathroom. The continental breakfast was uninteresting.
Good rooms clean and cosy although no hairdryer, when we requested one was told that there was one in a locked drawer, not much use.
No phone in room only in corridor so not useful for enquiries. My daughter left some headphones in the room and we were not able to contact the inn to ask for them so had to contact head office.
It does what it says on the tin.....
The Inn Keepers Lodge is, basically, a pub with an extension with rooms bolted on.
It serves standard pub grub and is what it is. Parking can be problematic, but you are close to Woking Town centre. Staff were friendly and co-operative, but I just think that the whole place could do with revitalising. I've stayed in so many pubs, with rooms, over the years and have to say that they are all much of a muchness and this one is not exactly cheap.
Innkeeper's Lodge Woking
Fish over cooked and dry on the Friday Asked for 2 steaks 1- medium rare & 1- medium both were medium rare.
Breakfast was good. Being disabled the toilet was very close to wall making it difficult to sit on. Room was very hot. Bedside lamp did not work. Car parking for the disabled was not very easy to access when other car spaces were taken
Good value for money
Enjoyed our stay, great for parking
a pub with rooms
This accommodation did the job.
The room was adequate and quiet, but the pillows not very comfortable. I knew the hotel years ago when it was a smart dining destination and was a bit disappointed by the dinginess - shabby paint, none too pleasant smell and the fact that the main area combines reception, bar and eating area. My scampi was tasty but the didn't seem to be a vast choice. A bit over-priced.
Innkeeper's Lodge Woking
Everything was ok.
Nothing special but value for money.
Convenient and Clean
This is a stones throw from the centre of Woking and is always clean and comfortable.
The staff are friendly and helpful and having a pub attached means getting fed and watered is simple.
