100% would recommend it to a friend
Heath Lodge Hotel
Basic rooms, nice staff food and bar good value for a hotel, good location for NEC
Would definately recommend
We recieved a really warm welcome and the guy on reception could not have been more helpful.
He gave us direction options for where we wanted to go and changed our booked twin for a double room and we loved it. It was 'compact' and he advised us we might not like it but didnt assume and showed us anyway. The Hotel was not 4* but our room was, it was spotless, fab powershower and not at all 'tired'. Plenty of tea coffee available. Breakfast a little chaotic. But everyone arrived at once, and I mean everyone. Would definately stay again, and would definately recommend.
easy to locate
warm and friendly accommodation.
though basic was clean and acceptable.
Heath Lodge Hotel
Very clean and staff very friendly and helpful.
Made to feel very welcome!
Whilst walking into the Heath Lodge felt like walking into someone's living room initially it soon became apparent that I might has well have walked into a friend's living room as the owners and staff were so very friendly and welcoming.
I had a twin room just for me (all that was left as was busy) and whilst it was a little small with 2 beds in it was very, very clean and I was only there for one night for convenience as I was at the NEC for 2 days. And it was very convenient for the NEC - cost me about £7 in a black cab and only about £4 when I phoned a private hire to return there the next day. The food in the restaurant was great and a pint of cider very reasonably priced. I thought the room price was a little steep because of the smallish size however the great customer service, immaculate rooms, and convenience for the NEC that does make up for it. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Review about Heath lodge Hotel
Excellent customer service
Pleasant staff, clean and reasonably comfortable room.
A bit dated but good value for money for bed and breakfast. We had an evening meal and to be honest was not up to much for tge price. Would recommend breakfast though.
value for money
don't be put off by the 2 star rating this is up there with 3 and 4 star I should know as I stay in lots of hotels and B&Bs
I will highly recommend and will be staying again if I am in the area
Very friendly and welcoming
This was the second time I have stayed at Heath Lodge and I would happily go back again.
Breakfast was freshly cooked but evening meal involved a lot of microwave beeping. It was a nice meal though.
Needs some TLC
A few little things such as bed virtually under sloping roof on one side nigh on impossible to get in and out of bed, my wife is only 5'3" but even she had to stoop to get in and out of bed, this may only apply to this room never the less could do with addressing for future clients.
The hairdryer wasn't near enough to the mirror to see what you were doing, but bathroom was a good size, we had to change rooms after 2 nights due to noisy pump going off all night, (we were told on checking out this was being repaired that day) 2nd room was a family room so had a double and single bed but shower room was very compact, but at least hairdryer was near the mirror, the phone rang the 1st morning in the 2nd room but the phone was located next to the single bed so had to get out of bed to answer phone and it was early !!. Could probably do with investing in new pillows as ours were as flat as pancakes had to ask the young foreign lady who works there if we could have an extra pillow she was very pleasant and hard working and nothing was too much trouble, her care and attention to clients was exemplary.
