The room was clean and tidy, to (I think) a recently refurbished standard. The landlord and his staff were friendly and helpful. The food was to a good standard, although some dishes were unavailable. The wine we had was good value for money.

Well located for the area we wanted to explore.
Room clean and of adequate size. Small but powerful shower. Evening meal great and great value for money. Breakfast of cereal, full English and toast was really good. Helpful Landlord who assisted with local information, parking etc.

escape to the country
A wonderful location ideal for our needs. Lovely staff and friendly service. Food great and fabulous surroundings. Only bad thing was the two single beds pretending to be a large double and very uncomfortable. CoUld maybe do with new white towels too but that's really being picky now!!!

Countrymans Inn - Hunton
Clean and friendly country pub accommodation. Staff very helpful. Nice rural setting. Excellent breakfast. Only negative for me is the booking- in time of 1800 hours. But, on this occasion we were able to book-in earlier. So not a problem on this our first visit.
Would prefer a book-in time between 14/16 hours. Would certainly recommend this Inn to friends and family.

Idyll in the Yorkshire Dales
My wife and I cannot speak highly enough of the Countrymans Inn at Hunton, Wensleydale. From a very warm welcome to excellent accommodation and food the whole weekend was a huge success from start to finish. We shall certainly return here the next time we visit the Yorkshire Dales.
