Our 'room' turned out to be a little self contained apartment with separate bedroom, living area with small kitchenette and bathroom.
This was just perfect when travelling with a young baby as we were able to put her to bed and not have to tiptoe around the bedroom as you would in a hotel. The room had been done to a good standard and the overall stay was just what we needed as a base for visiting family.
Weekend of the Storm of the Century
Because of the predicted Storm of the Decade I booked for Sunday night.
Welcomed by staff in the afternoon. Room and facilities were excellent. 7am Monday morning the wind and rain struck causing the electricity to fail. Emergency lighting kicked in.. Congratulations should go to the staff for the excellent full English breakfast produced under the unusual circumstances.
A Warm welcome
Becky who I dealt with over the phone and texts because I had extended our stay by another night was extremely helpful.
We were met at the B&B by Jackie who showed us to our rooms. Lovely clean, warm room with a nice en-suite complete with bath/shower. Basics provided - tea/coffee and a TV. Comfortable bed. Breakfast served in the morning - a good selection of cereals, Toast, Full cooked breakfast with a tea/coffee as well as yoghurts and fruit teas. Our stay was in the other property "The annex". I will be staying here again should I need accommodation in the area.
