Worth an over night stay if a little expensive
We booked just for one night, it wasn't the cheapest but it was convenient. Reception girl was most helpful and suggested an Italian Restaurant in Wetherby for evening meal which we really enjoyed and would recommend. Breakfast was adequate and worth paying for but hotel cleaners need training. Cleaner dumped some dirty dishes from a room onto a table where a woman was having her breakfast. Not nice really, bit thoughtless.

Appalling mess with bookings, inexperienced staff and a room with no window or temperature control
We booked a double room for 2 nights, then got held up in traffic so that we could not drop my daughter off at her grandmother's house before going to the hotel as we had planned. We called ahead to see if there was a family room available to switch to (accepting that we had not booked one and so would have to find accommodation elsewhere if not available). We were told that there was and so we made our way to the DAys Inn. When we arrived, another family was at the check in desk. They had two children with them and had booked a family room, but on arrival were allocated a double room. We arrived as they came back down from the room they had been put in, to tell reception that not only was it not a family room, but the bed had not been changed i.e. it had been slept in. They asked for the family room they had booked, they were told it was not available. It became apparent that their booking had been changed and we had been allocated their family room. There was only one family room and two tired families. We offered to take two double rooms if an extra room was available. The staff member was unable to confirm whether there was, because he could not find out which rooms had been cleaned. It was unclear why there should be any dirty rooms at midnight. Eventually, after a very long period of watching the receptionist (who told us it was his first night) make calls to try unsuccessfully to contact the staff member who had switched the rooms and his manager we were allocated two double rooms. My daughter was exhausted. We were allocated a room which was like a sauna, with no window and no temperature control. It was a very uncomfortable night. Appalling and unnecessary mess, badly handled. If we had just been told there were no family rooms available we would have gone elsewhere and not spent an hour in the foyer with an exhausted 6 year old.

Feedback
Room could have been a lot cleaner and for what we paid to stay one night it would have been good to have hot water at the basin in the bathroom. Will not be using Days Inn again.

Nice hotel , really handy for travelling North or South, only downside was the lack of a restaurant/ bar. Nice pub in Waldon with beautiful service and top food, just a short drive away. All other amenities are well catered for. All in all a very pleasant break.

Good location for trip to York
The location is good for a trip to York, it takes about half an hour to drive to the centre of York.
Mattress is too soft to my taste
Breakfast very noisy and no control if you have paid for a breakfast or not. But what they serve is okay.
