Cheap and a slightly cheerful
We stayed at Hatters on the evening of the Grand National so probably paid double what we should have. £85 for a double room which in most instances wouldn't be too painful to bare BUT when the windows were nearly rotten, the room smelt damp, there was damp and mould on the walls and towels provided were the size of flannels it was somewhat disappointing. I can imagine though for a back packer or a student this place would be fine. The guys opn the front desk were helpful and the place had a young vibe to it.

Weekend stay for family of four
Room was a bit small for four people but enough for sleeping, although a bit noisy due to younger guests. Common areas of the hostel are great. Good value for money and good location.

Bargain bed for a city stay!
My first trip to Liverpool; I just wanted somewhere central so I could get out and see the city. Hatters is so central, it's ridiculously good value!!! Good welcome, clean dorms, nice atmosphere and the bargain price tag left me money to spend on seeing Liverpool itself. Perfect. Would stay in their other accommodation, no question.
