Recent stay for Theatre Break
Was a little wary initially when our room was not ready hours after it should have been due to a late book out by the sitting resident, but things were sorted satisfactorily, and from there, everything was as we would expect.
The accommodation and location was good, the owners/ staff were most pleasant, and we were happy with our experience. The big question is "would we use this guesthouse again?" Well the answer is Yes. would we recommend it to others. - Yes. A clean, well run establishment with easy access to a local train/tube station on the Northern line
Excellent Customer Service, Staff very helpful, Lovely clean room, Lovely stay, would definitely stay again
Satisfactory and clean room, fab breakfast
Perhaps I should have anticipated what was to come when I approached this guest house to see four lads standing outside swigging cans of lager.
In fairness I suppose in this day and age businesses can't afford to turn away any paying customers but the noise that these particular guests made when they came crashing into the room above us at 3am in the morning - a din that proceeded for at least the next half an hour - did put a bit of a dampener over our stay at Heatherbank. The landlady did warn us that there might be late-night noise and to complain if that happened, but I didn't know how to get in touch with them and at that time in the morning when you're very sleepy you generally just lie there and hope that they eventually shut up. Our room was on the small side and a little dark (being on the side of the building overlooking the neighbouring property's wall). It also had a faint musty smell when we first arrived, but it was perfectly clean and served it's purpose. We had room 5 - I assume this is one of the smaller doubles if the other reviews of 'big, spacious rooms' are anything to go by. If you can get a bigger lighter rooms overlooking the back garden, rather than the neighbour's wall, then it would probably be advisable.
Location of the guest house is great for the tube - five minutes walk from Woodside Park (although it's a bit uphill on the way back from station). We enjoyed a fantastic night out with a pub crawl around Kentish Town, so the nice breakfast the next morning was gratefully received. Nice serving of tasty bacon/sausage/egg/mushrooms/tomato and the all-you-can eat/drink spread of cereals/toast/coffee/juice was excellent too. The marmite sachets were a nice addition also.
To sum up, this is a comfortable b&b, not a bad price for London but still more than I'd want to pay for a bog standard double room, but the breakfast is heartily recommended.
Fabulous Quality Accomodation
Was very impressed with this hotel.
Would most definitely stay here again when next in London. Staff were lovely and happy to help. Accommodation spotless. Lovely big airy rooms. Very close to the tube station. Quality hotel, budget priced.
Excellent customer service from very kind staff
We had a family room for 5 of us, it was very clean and the beds very comfortable.
The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was lovely and there was a wide range available. The tube only a 5 -10 minute walk away. Only issue was creaking floorboards which woke me up although the rest of the family slept great.
Convenient stay for West End visit
Was greeted by friendly hosts.Room was pleasant and warm with hospitality tray.Breakfast was very good in a relaxed dining area with a TV to catch up with the news.
The accommodation was very convenient for the Underground Northern line and another useful feature was the off road parking. Will be using this accommodation again.
