Stage hotel
Cheap, basic, clean. In need of refurb but otherwise fine for a night out in town.

Ok for a one night stay with very little time in the room
All carpets grubby, narrowest toilet in the world (not practical), base of bed was broken, no towels in room (but were provided when we asked). Breakfast was excellent for c£2.50 each though. Glad it was a brief stay.

Ya gets what ya pays for.
The Stage is ideal if you want somewhere to sleep when you're working in Nottingham, handy for shops and various eating options. You wouldn't go there for a romantic weekend with your partner but...........................read the title.

Booked this hotel as we were going to a concert in Nottingham and needed to be close to the arena, never again,, the bedroom was in really poor condition, beds were falling to bits, bedside cabinets had doors broke on them, the wall lights were hanging of the walls, carpets were dirty and stained as was the bathroom floor, the beds had woollen blankets on them, urghhh so itchy, thought those days were gone with itchy blankets. it was really old fashioned and in need of a makeover. the noise was terrible, i was woken at 5.30am with banging on the doors and screaming and shouting, i thought someone was getting murdered, it was terrifying and didnt dare go down to reception 2 complain was 2 scared to open the door. however did complain when we went down for breakfast but was a waste of time she just said that theres alot of groups that stayed on stag nights so thats probably what the noise was!!!! great its a pity we werent told that when we were making the booking. we paid £89 for 1 night stay with breakfast, i normally stay in hotels for £40 which are 10x better than this hotel.

I'd like to sleep in my room
The receptionist was pleasant enough, gave us clear instructions and rang a taxi after we had checked in and got ready for the night.
With light fittings loose, 1 of the beds on a slant and a cracked window wasn't the greatest sight i could have expected for a 3 star hotel but though it's only for one night, it's not that bad.
Getting back into our room though was another matter, we had to wait for a nearly 1 full hour to get back into our room after coming back from the city centre, the night porter must have decided to fall asleep.

The gentleman on the desk was very helpful, but the hotel itself was poor. The bed linen was clean, but the room itself wasn't,. with stains on the beds, walls and carpets. The room was advertised as having 4 singles, but was actually one double and two singles. Luckily one of our party had booked an additional single room, otherwise we would have had a serious problem.

customer service was good as staff was always friendly. you were never hastled for any reason they just let you get on with it. If you just want somewhere to sleep then this is an ok place to be. the rooms were nothing special though not to clean but not to dirty. But i would stay there again if needed

Awful.
Although the lady who served me at the desk was lovely, and went out of her way to help me get a hair dryer overall I hated the hotel and wasn't impressed. The hotel was loud, unclean, it took fifteen minutes for anyone to see me at check in. My room was insecure, the window was hanging out of the frame so it was freezing. The carpet was dirty, the towels were torn, stained and threadbare. The shower was disgusting and the shower head was covered in black sludgey stuff. Didn't stay the night in the end. Decided there was too much risk of there being something like bed bugs and didn't feel safe. Would have felt better sleeping in the railway station. Do not stay here.
