Perfect Hideaway from Town!
I was travelling on business to Coventry (showing at the Ricoh Arena), but didn’t want to stay at the venue… sometimes a little separation from the day job is the perfect opportunity to relax.
I found Still Waters on Late Rooms and a fantastic price and booked up. As I have a serious dairy allergy I called just after booking to get a sense of the customer service and provisions for myself at breakfast. Sandra (the owner) answered my telephone call with a bright, happy voice and couldn’t do enough to help… this gave me every bit of confidence that during my trip this element of my stay would be comfortable. I do recommend taking a Satnav, or map to find Still Waters, as some of the roads have tight turns and can be slightly obscured from the road from the Ricoh Arena… but once you get there the stresses of traffic and a town environment melt away. The journey took us about 15 minutes each morning, so it’s not too far away at all. The house is stunning and full of rather beautiful, eclectic touches… it feels almost quite artisan. Sandra, the owner is super friendly and always happy to help. She is a real credit to the trade. Our room was perfect, we had everything we needed and I really felt that I’d drastically under paid. Our sleep was really restful too and we were not disturbed by other guests at all. Breakfast too was fantastic… our early times were accommodated with a smile and a bright morning chat, without being too overly chatty, which can sometimes be a turn off when you are over tired. Sandra was attentive and we had more than enough to see us through until mid-afternoon without having to top up…. This is perfect if you are busy working and can’t stop to grab a snack. Overall I recommend Still Waters very highly… it’s a perfect hideaway from town and a truly relaxing stay. Thank you for having us.
Will be back again, absolutely lovely
A nice place to stay in the Midlands. @PaulArnoldUK
Stayed for 2 nights.
There was no WiFi on the first night which wasn't good. That was a shame but the 2nd night was fine. Lovely people and place to stay. Would stay here again.

Beautiful rooms, warm welcome
We stayed here in August 2014 as a base to visit an exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham.
Our spacious room was beautifully appointed with crisp white linen and period furnishings and a view over the grounds. Sandra welcomed us warmly and was attentive and helpful throughout our stay. We loved it here and look forward to staying again
