Great place run by lovely couple.
A Hidden Gem
Little Bank Country House is a hidden Gem, set well back from the main road it offers a peaceful haven to the weary traveler.
I have read a few comments about the bumpy road leading up to the house, however, it is not too bad and perfectly negotiable with any car. On arrival we were greeted by Richard who showed us to our room, the room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot running water. Their is an excellent breakfast menu including the traditional "English Breakfast" (you must try the Black Pudding it is superb). Mine Hosts Trish and Richard were great ensuring everything was to our satisfaction, and they had a wealth of knowledge about the local area. We had a great few days and would thoroughly recommend Little Bank Country House.
Very nice stay
Very nice friendly atmosphere
Myself and my wife have just returned from a couple of days staying at the littlebank B@B A brilliant location set back in woods with beutifull terrace gardens, the accomadation was great, with clean and functional equipment, tea and coffee in the room everything you would expect from a four star hotel at a very reasonable price.
the breakfast was superb, with more than you could eat, Richard and Trish the owners were a delight, a lovely couple who were very helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble. We would have no hesitation in recommending this venue. Chris and Kate from Liverpool.
Nice host but a bit in your face ... watch the driveway
Its a great little manor house but the driveway up to the house really needs looking at even some of the local taxis wont drive up there - youve been warned.
However cant fault the lovely couple for their hospitalilty - however Mr really does want your doing all the time.
40min walk to Settle from house, some of which can be a busy road.
The bathroom we had could do with updating.
We decided at short notice to have an overnight getaway and spotted Littlebank due to its other previous reviews.
Richard and Trish have given the place a very warm country feel with some lovely shabby chic decor. The room was very comfortable and spacious with both separate bath and shower.
Breakfast was lovely too, which is what you want when somebody else is making it. Lots of information in the room on where to eat, visit, etc locally and further afield, which was useful.
R & T were also both very welcoming as hosts and yes, we would definitely stay here again when we want a peaceful, relaxing getaway. Easy to find too, only half a mile off the A65.
We wanted a get away to unwind and Richard & Trisha ensured that we did just that.
Previous reviews were more than accurate. Everything was perfect from the secluded lication to the little extra flourishes. We would go back without hesitation
Absolutely amazing hospitality in the gorgeous Yorkshire Dales
What a lovely weekend I have just spent at Littlebank, I was there with my partner to celebrate a new job, and it was perfect for that.
The highlights for me were sherry and handmade fairy cakes in the room every evening and the fantastic hospitality of Richard and Trish. And of course the lovely location in beautiful Settle. Nothing was too much trouble at all. As a carless couple they very kindly picked us up and dropped us off at the station, as well as taking us to the local pub for dinner. This is the only place I have ever stayed that was so generous in this way and it made our stay immeasurably better. Richard even took us on a mini tour of his Settle brewery which was a real treat. Very highly recommended.
Great weekend away
A great place to stay.
The owners were friendly and very helpful on place to visit in and around Settle. Would stay again.
Nice rural place but hard to get to
Very nice stay, but the address information does not take you to the accommodation.
The owners should write next to the postcode (No, not just on the website) that the postcode takes you 40 minutes away from your intended destination. The owners seem content with leaving it at that which doesn't make much sense, in their own words 90 out of 100 people get lost on the way to their hotel. We couldn't sleep too well as the fire alarms kept going off (thrice between 6 and 8am)...aargh. That said, the hosts are outstanding. The owers are very nice and warm hearted people. They offered 5* rescue service after we were lost and got us to the hotel quite late in the evening. The hotel is located in a region of outstanding natural beauty, definitely great for relaxing around but if you are looking for a quick getaway from the city, mind you it is a treasure and you'll have to work hard to locate it.
