Reviews - Marlborough Arms

4Self Classified Hotel Ratings explained
26 Oxford Street , Woodstock, Nr Oxford, OX20 1TS
The Marlborough Arms is a beautiful 14th century coaching inn, situated in the heart of Woodstock, overlooking historical streets. Whilst guests can enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings they still have good links to the M40. The hotel is now under new ownership and has been elegantly finished in a classic style in-keeping with the character of the building and surrounding area, with contemporary touches throughout. Guests can also take advantage of the hotels own car park located directly behind the hotel.

Each of the ten luxurious en-suite bedrooms are all individually themed with a focus on comfort and relaxation. All rooms differ in shape, size and style, ranging from the Cobalt Room, which is situated overlooking the courtyard which has a contemporary feel with beautiful sensuous fabrics and natural morning light, through to the Sepia Room, which is a very large room with a striking interior of deep greys and gentle soft tones, set off with modern lamps and cushions. All of the rooms have dimmer controlled lighting, flat screen television, tea and coffee making facilities. Along with a bath or large walk in shower, some rooms are equipped with both!

Woodstock has a beautiful town square, ivy clad facades, fascinating architecture breathing romance and history, Woodstock is the perfect destination to find that unusual gift or to enjoy a special break. Places of interest to visit in Woodstock include Blenheim Palace, The Oxfordshire Museum, Woodstock Wall Hangings and Town Walks. Nearby is Rousham Park House & Garden and the theatre.

Great stay definitely reccomend
Idillic location right in the high street close to all ameiites and attractions in Woodstock. The coach house is a beautiful historical step into the past with uneven floors and staicases. A solid building with very welcoming staff. The hotelier was very accommodating and had a lovely smile whilst giving great advice and reccomendations

Weekend break in Wodstock
Found the wonderful Marlborough Arms on Laterooms and decided to book a 2 night stay to visit Blenheim Palace. The Marlborogh Arms is excellently situated on the main street in Woodstock. A huge plus is the private carpark at the rear. The staff are friendly and very helpful. As breakfast is the only meal offered we were immediately offered advice to local eateries which were excellent. Blenheim is a very short walk away and is an excellent day out. Woodstock is a very interesting town and well worth a visit. Our room was large and very comfortable with an excellent bathroom. There is a small bar and a charming courtyard for a quiet drink in good weather. The Marlborough Arms is an excellent place to stay to explore Woodstock, Blenheim and Oxford.

Fantastic stay!
Lovely hotel. Wonderful hosts and a huge room. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever stayed in away from home. It was a fantastic break and I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling around Oxford or visiting Blenheim.
