Good value
Stayed here 2 nights on business. Looks a bit rough from the outside, but staff are friendly and efficient, the room was clean and perfectly OK, and the food was good - big breakfast, and dinner in the bar was very good. Hard to find - you can see it, but you can't reach it from the main road.

Fabulous stay!
Upgraded on arrival to room106, the best room in the hotel, the coachhouse suite. It was very spacious with a bathroom, separate jacuzzi, seating area and queensize bed. There was also a safe, mini fridge, iron and board in the built in wardrobe. There were two small flat screen tv's at either end of the room, a hairdryer and tea, coffee-making facilties. Bathroom and bedding was spotless with a small selection of toiletries. Public areas were clean, with leather sofas and tv in the bar/lounge area. Breakfast was superb. Order quantity of whatever you want for your full English included in price on the slip provided and hand to your waitress. Also help yourself to tea, coffee, juices, cold meats, cheese, croissants, yoghurts, fresh fruit etc in the conservatory. Staff were very polite and welcoming and along with free secure on site parking this hotel was a snip for £60 and just a 5 minute walk from the town centre and train station. Definitely recommend.
