This is a very easy review.
It was excellent. Jan, the landlady was very friendly and maintained a beautiful home.
The House was stunning, decorations of the main areas and our room was exceptional.
Everywhere was spotless and tidy. The front garden was immaculately cared for. Janice was a lovely lady very hospitable and easy to talk too. you could really see she cared. It was a privilege to share her home. Breakfast was carefully prepared and served to hotel standard with a nice homely touch. The only slight problem was that in our room the bathroom was tiny so we struggled to turn in the shower, but all the toiletries provided were of hotel standard. Thank you so much you made our stay lovely.
Home from home
The B&B was excellent.
The owner was very friendly & welcoming; the breakfast was great & the room spotless. I shall definitely use this B&B again.
An absolute gem !
I stayed at Springdale House for 2 nights and was thoroughly impressed with every aspect.
On arrival I received a lovely warm welcome from Jan the owner before being shown to my very clean, bright and comfortable single room. The bathroom, which was separate but for my use only, was huge and beautifully decorated . The gorgeous free standing bath was just what I needed after a long journey. The location was perfect too - close to the beach but away from the noise of a busy seaside town. I would highly recommend Springdale House !
one of the B&B I have stayed in
Such a lovely place, greeted with nice freshly brewed Coffee.
made to feel very welcome.
Not for me
Clean and excellent facilities.
breakfast not very good, basic standard food not great quality. found owner to be slightly patronising and rude.
Was made to feel very welcome.
The owner made me a pot of coffee when I arrived, as I'd had an horrendous road trip getting there!. Edwardian house very tastefully decorated. Would challenge any boutique hotel in Kensington. Beautiful bathroom where I had a relaxing bath before bed. Was offered various foods for breakfast, from full English (freshly cooked for each guest) to fruits & cereals. Owner offered to lift and carry bags. The downside was that I only booked one night. I'm hoping I have to go back to the area, so I can stay again. Redcar is an old fashioned sea-side area. Lovely bracing walks along the beach road. Ideal location for a weekend away. Only a short drive from Middlesborough. Easy hour drive to Newcastle, near Herriot countryside tourist area & 45 mins to the infamous Whitby beach. I think the rates that are charged are very competitive for the quality accommodation, food & service
I stayed in this B&B for 2 nights on business and was very well looked after.
when i arrived which was a late book in i was greated with a warm Friendly service and offered a hot cup of tea which was a nice touch. the quality of the room was outstanding the bed and bedding was just like being at home. after traveling for many years it is very hard to find somewhere that feels like your own bed. i can honestly say i did not want to leave and will look forward to staying again over the next few months.
Wonderfully warm welcome
Beautiful house and an elegant and luxurious room. Every effort was made to provide for our needs, despite us needing to make a very early start for a sporting event. Thanks for a great stay. Highly recommended.
Smart, tidy, clean and spacious en-suite room and B&B
I stayed at Springfield house in September 2014, when requiring overnight accommodation for when attending a course at the James Cook hospital.
The B&B is smart, spacious and nicely decorated, with well equipped rooms. I had a very pleasant stay. The owner is friendly and very helpful. Jan even left out a packed lunch for me, since I had to miss breakfast for an early start. I would really recommend this B&B for anyone needing to stay in the Redcar / East Middlesborough area.
