No Internet
I was extremely disappointed that the free Internet was not working - I raised it with the duty manager and suggested he do something about it but he couldn't be bothered. I had to walk to a nearby coffee shop to use the Internet--- a good hotel let down by a poor duty manager........

NEED TO IMPROVE ON SERVICE IN RESTAURANT !!!
checked in at reception in a superior deluxe room, the room was freezing on arrival being a cold day,the radiators were switched off, we contacted reception and they sent us a blower heater ! we was`nt happy with this, so they moved us to another room, this was acceptable. we went to the restaurant, only ones in at the time, ordered starters and gammon steaks for main course. 10 mins later was told they have no gammon. this was on prime time sat evening !!! we both ordered different starters, but both received the same!!! could have perhaps understood this if they were busy but no only 2 of us in the restaurant....this was not a good experience!!!!! be warned you are waiting endlessly for breakfast too... lots of guests queuing at the self service waiting for food to be served...

Daves Stay
I am a frequent traveller and have stayed in a vast amount of 3-5 star hotels across the UK and Europe and must say that this was probably one of my worst experiences/stays. I expected so much more - especially from Hilton but felt let down. I stayed in a suite on the 5th floor which was spacious but lacked overall cleanliness, had a musty smell to it, and the hot water tap in the bathroom took 20 minutes to get warm (not hot) and just as long for the water to flow down the sink & empty.
I was very unimpressed with the bar as they had vertically none of the drinks available that I asked for (all of which were on their NEW menu). I first asked for a bottle of Silver Top Champagne but after a 10minute wait while they searched their cellar I was told they didn't have any. I later asked for a Piña Colada but they didn't have the ingredients in to make it, then I asked for a Kir Royale and yet again they had no ingredients in to make it, and finally I asked for a Jaegermeister and was told yet again I couldn't have it as it was out of stock. The bar staff looked highly embarrassed at the Food & Beverage Managers inability to order in and maintain stock levels of what was not a very exhaustive drinks menu.
The next morning I decided to have a lay-in but was woken at 8am by items crashing & falling off the maids trolley right outside my room, then was kept awake by workmen/maintenance staff talking loudly and by the noise of drilling. I eventually gave up on the lay-in and checked out.
Overall not a great experience and certainly not up to the usual standards that I have come to expect from Hilton.

Ok on discounted rate
Friendly staff
Hotel ok for the discounted rate we booked through Laterooms. Would find it too expensive for what it is on the normal rate. We were surprised that they want 4.95 for a bottle of mineral water.
Hilton prices but with stains on carpet and furniture and hairs in the bathroom not Hikton standard
Ok though for the price we paid.
