A delightful, very pretty hotel
The room was very bright, airy and cheerful with very pleasant decor. It was good sized with two windows looking over the lovely garden. Plenty of lighting for reading, hair dryer and sensible sized television which didn't, for a change, dominate the room! The bathroom had big fluffy towels and a large shelf for personal toiletries, a heated towel rail and nice shower. The service was excellent as was breakfast which offered a huge choice. Although I didn't have dinner it was nice to know it was available. The location is ideal being so close to town but nicely rural. It is just 5 minutes drive to Cheltenham hospsital (my reason for staying) and a few more minutes into town. An excellent choice and highly recommended

Recommendation for hotels in Cheltenham
Our stay at the weekend was as good as ever. It is always a pleasure to stay at Charlton Kings - it is one of the friendliest and most comfortable hotels that we have stayed in.

Great Breakfast
This is a great B&B / Hotel. The staff are friendly and clearly care about running a good hotel. This is the 4th hotel we have stayed at in Cheltenham and this one is clearly the best.
It is amazing but so many places these days scrimp on breakfast and use rubbish ingredients. Here the quality of the sausage and the rest of the breakfast was wonderful and my wife was delighted by her perfect boiled egg (which comes with soldiers!!). Even though it was New Years Day they had no problem cooking a second one (the first was so good) even after I suspect the kitchen had shut

The hotel was lovely and clean as was our room. The owners were away but the couple who were looking after the hotel were excellent. Our breakfast was delicious. The only slight issue was the bed was a little on the small side - although very comortable.
