4Self Classified Guest House Ratings explained
43 WELLINGTON ROAD COALBROOKDALE, TELFORD, TF8 7DU
This early 1800's detached property previously built for the Foundry Master of the nearby Coalbrookdale works has been lovingly restored by the owners of the nearby Coalbrookdale Inn to reflect many of the original features influenced by the Georgian period.
Period bathrooms, original fireplaces, high ceilings complete with picture rails, coving and crystal chandeliers, finished in three tone Georgian colours, far eastern style carpets and period style mahogany bedroom furniture complete the look and create the feel.
The feel is continued in the dining room and lounge with original window shutters and fireplaces complimenting the view over the landscaped frontage and four off road car parking spaces.
To the rear of the property is glebe land with grazing sheep and goats overlooked only by Coalbrookdale church

A Lovely Place to Stay
It is not often that you find such a lovely place to spend a few days but Foundry Masters House is just that. Daniel and Dawn made us feel so welcome. It was like home from home. A friendly welcome, comfortable room and wonderful breakfasts that kept us going all day. Thoroughly enjoyable and we will be returning.

Re-visiting Ironbridge
We had been staying near Shrewsbury and on a whim decided to re-visit Ironbridge having not been there for 20 years. Really pleased to have found a room at the Foundry Masters. Our room was small but perfectly formed, lovely furniture, creaky but really comfortable bed and an excellent en suite. Very friendly and welcoming hosts, really good breakfast. The house is in a great location within easy reach of all the tourist attractions in the area. Would stay here again if back in the area.

Perfect! Homely, friendly owners, great location
I've nothing but praise for this place and the owners!
We needed to get there early to get to a friends BBQ, Dawn and Danny let us check in very early in the day and settle in, something you don't often get. They also let us leave our car in their small car park during the next day, parking on a Bank Holiday Monday in Ironbridge isn't easy, so that was a massive help!
The room was very homely and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was huge, spotlessly clean and perfect in every way.
The breakfast was something else too. Much needed given the hangover i had :-) It's only a short 15min or so walk to Ironbridge, which might seem far, but it's well worth it to stay here. We'll definitely be back next time we are staying over.

Give thought to your food choices!!!!
Nice location but access to the property is via a number of poorly lit steps, some of which are loose.
We were a put off by the owners oversell of their evening meals and running down of all of the other local restaurants, pubs etc. Don't pay attention to the owners. On speaking to other guests at breakfast each morning, we received good reports on all of the locals. We would recommend the Meadow. Great food and really nice people.
Wasn't very happy at not having the towels changed over the 4 nights we stayed either.

First Class choice for IronBridge Visitors.
We were made to feel a welcomed guest right from the start and left as a friend. This B&B is of high quality and standards. The room was of a very generous size with stylish furniture, Sky TV and a firm comfy bed. The en-suite bathroom was also of the same high standard, very clean and complete with towels, soap, shampoo, shower gel, etc. Our meals were well cooked, nicely presented and of a very good portion. Nothing was of too much trouble for our hosts Dawn & Danny and it would be very difficult to find fault with any aspect of our visit. We visited during the snow and frost, but thanks to the heating our stay was warm & cosy. If you plan to visit Ironbridge and need overnight accommodation then you need look no further! The only exception would be if you have a walking difficulty as the entrance involves a few steps from the car park and stairs to bedrooms.
