One Night Stay
The room was small and overly warm.
The breakfast service was very good but the food suffered for being on the hot plate far too long.
Good service, but room needs refurbishing.
Set in a very scenic and quiet area.
Food and customer service is very good. Some of the rooms are somewhat tired and are in need of updating.
De Vere Venues Latimer Place
Room was nice but looking a little tired, however there is a lot of refurbishment going on around the time.
Beautiful location and surroundings.
More or less fine ...
I checked in quite late due to an extended day filming.
I was given a disabled room in a block quite some way from reception. The room itself was fine but the toilet layout with lowered sink and shower not very convenient to a 6' chap. Also there was no bedside table. Otherwise fine. The restaurant was quite quiet the next morning for breakfast, which was good by the way, but would indicate that perhaps the hotel was not that busy. My question would be, if not too busy why not place customers into more appropriate accommodation?
One night was enough
This hotel is in a great location and the main building looks impressive.
The surrounds are all you could hope for if looking for a short get away. That all changes when you go inside. It's in need of some serious TLC. All rooms hot and stuffy. The so called superior bedroom was small and dated with only one small window and no view. Staff appeared thin on the ground and there was no hotel feel, more like a hostel. Having said that the pool area was good and we had a very good breakfast albeit in a shabby hot and dusty old converted courtyard. We did not pay the earth for our room so I suppose you get what you pay for.
Latimer House Hotel
A lovely clean and attractive hotel in a beautiful location with lots to offer witj fantastic friendly and very helpful staff.
Enjoyed every single moment
Best value !
4 star accommodation at 2 star price .
Nothing amazing, but everything as it should be.
The room was a good size (though I had the misfortune of having an 'inward' looking room which had an outlook of brick walls and a gravelled courtyard that isn't used for anything as far as I could tell), and the bed was comfortable.
The bathroom was small, and while clean looked a little dirty because of the state of the grouting. The bath was big enough for one, and the shower had good water pressure. Room service was nice - even at 2am - and the front desk was very helpful; checking on their kitchen to make sure they could provide a small meal despite the late night. Breakfast in the morning was nice too - if a little hard to find (though again, the staff were incredibly helpful).
Clean, friendly and beautiful surroundings.
