Reviews - Sun Palace Albir Hotel & Spa

C/ Hércules, 1El Albir , Alfaz del Pi, 03581
This is a luxurious hotel in a residential zone of L’Albir, a tourist town located on the Costa Blanca, between Benidorm and Altea.

In this hotel you can enjoy spectacular views from any corner of the complex. Rooms are large and elegant and classical in style. The complex also has a complete spa service, cafeterias, a chillout terrace, a piano bar and a private dining room, all of which boast privileged locations.

In L’Albir you can enjoy “sun and beach” holidays in a relaxed and tranquil setting. A short walk from the beach there are plenty of terraces and restaurants with international cooking.

A real bargain
We chose this relatively new spa hotel for its location and value for money and it exceeded our expectations. If you want to quibble, the hotel is a 5 - 10 minute walk from the beach and town centre, downhill going and clearly therefore uphill coming back, but an hourly free shuttle bus accommodates those not wishing to amble. The reception staff, especially Diana, were great, speaking to us in English or Spanish as we wished and ensuring a room to suit our needs (sea view, quiet) and checking personally we had everything we needed. The rooms are a generous size, clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are lavish, as Spanish breakfasts go, and we also tried an evening meal, buffet service, good value for €12 per person. We made little use of the spa, but that was our own choice as we did not pick the hotel for this reason, but it was clearly well frequented. Our first night (Sunday) was quiet but then coachloads of Spanish pensioners arrived and the evening entertainment was no longer needed, they were lively and determined to enjoy their stay and make the most of the facilities. They were great fun. We paid €30 per couple per night for this hotel, admittedly off season, but it was excellent value for money and we would certainly go back.
