I found the Bull full of character with friendly welcoming and helpful staff. The room was a bit expensive for what I needed but worth the money perhaps for someone else. The en suite was possibly the smallest I have encountered but then I am a bit portly. I didn't sample the food other than breakfast which was most satisfactory. The selection of well kept ales was to my liking.
All in all a very pleasant overnight stop.

Great service, just a bit on the pricey side!
A very enjoyable stay.Service throughout was probably best ever encountered, both management and staff first class. Despite being busy, the only noise that disturbed us was a very intrusive air conditioning unit.Accomodation well priced, room good but first room offered was very poor-no wardrobe, no chest of drawers-four star? Food excellent and well served but menu limited and expensive.

It's a very old building with uneven floors, low ceilings, etc, so lots of character but not suitable for all.
Otherwise very comfortable, no noise issues and food good.
Will go there again
